If I want to book two rooms thru Orbitz but ensure Disney recognizes they are together/linked because we'll request connecting rooms, how should I do this? One is for us (two adults, two children) and the other for my parents but I don't mind paying for them all together. I know to add the kids later.

We're looking at the Poly; how commonly granted are connecting rooms requests? Specifically first or third floors.

I also want to be sure the reservations are together so if by some miracle we get upgraded it's together.

Orbitz will have to contact WDW and request that the 2 rooms are connecting.

Everyone here has posted that Orbitz is the only one that can talk to Disney. However I called all 3 resorts that we are booked at, told them I need the Disney number for my Disney experience, they confirmed my info and then transferred me to wholesale where I was able to get the numbers and add the children to the room. I would try calling the resort directly after 24 hours from booking. Talking to Disney is much easier than Orbitz, I wasted a lot of time on the phone with them

What jms wrote is key, if you call Orbitz regarding reservations, ask to be transferred to WDW Wholesale. They can help you with requests. The people at Orbitz will have no idea what you are talking about
