Two rooms at the pop or is there any other option?

We'll be going to Disney World in May. It's my MIL and BIL and then me, my husband and our three children (will be 8, 5, and 3). We were planning on getting two rooms at the pop. But would it work out the same to get a larger room elsewhere that would hold us all? Is there a room like that? Thanks!

Try the All Star Music Family Suites, they can accommodate 6 adults and one child under 3, so this might work for you and they are only slightly more expensive than 2 rooms at Pop and guarantee that you are all together, also they have 2 bathrooms and a small kitchen, a queen bed in the bedroom and a full size pull out, 2 twin pull outs and a pack and play. There are also Cabins at Fort Wilderness, but I don't think that would work, because they have a full size bed and bunk beds in the bedroom and a full size pull down Murphy bed in the living room, plus a pack and play. The cabins can be quite expensive depending on the time you are going. HTH!!!!

disney does have suites. Not to mention the FW cabins plus the DVC 2-bedrooms - but all are more expensive than the Pop 2rooms.

the All star music suites would not work for your family.

It has a queen bed, then sofa pull out, and a chair pull out.

you would have to give up the queen to the IL and then you would be stuck in one room with all the kids.

There are 2 twin pull outs in the AS Family Suites.

Why would they have to give up the queen for the MIL? She can sleep with her son or one of the grandchildren. The only problem I see is the 3 year old and she can put him in the pack in play if he doesn't sleep with mom and dad.

The cabins have only one bathroom and a full size bed in the bedroom, not a queen.

Technically, you do have too many people for a family suite since your youngest will be over age 3 (ie has already had 3rd birthday) even if that one does sleep in a pack-n-play. Two rooms at a value would probably be your cheapest option.

Another option would be to get two rooms at POR with a trundle bed in one of them so that your family could all stay in one room, and MIL and BIL would have their own beds. IMO, double beds are just too small for adults who aren't already bed partner to sleep in (and in most cases, even if you ARE bed partners already, too small then also!) You would still have two bathrooms, and a fridge, just not the microwave.
