(1) One of our Grand Gathering party is a senior with mobility issues. She can't (and shouldn't!) walk much at all. She has a walker. What would you recommend for us to get her while we're at WDW this October?

(2) Our oldest son is EXTREMELY spirited and gets excited very easily. What tips/hints would be helpful to ensure that everyone has a good time on our trip?

Thanks so much, everyone :flower3:

Hi and :welcome: to disABILITIES!

If you click on where it says "disABILTIES" at the top of this page it will take you to the Index. One of the top items is the "disABILTIES FAQ" which will gives lots of useful information. I would especially suggest, for your situations, Post 2, 3, 4 and 6. That is a good starting point and will give you lots of informaiton. It may also allow you to have an idea of more specific quesitons to ask later on.

Or, if you want an easier route, click on the link in my signature.

You have two primary options for your "mature" relative. An ECV offers independence, but is mentally exhausting. You have to constantly be very aware of what everyone might do around you. Another option is a w/c. As you are part of a grand gathering, there are probably plenty of family members to share the opportunity of a little quality time w/ Grandma.

Re: your little guy, I would recommend a portable game system as one way to keep little minds occupied. Other ideas include a hidden mickey search (books are available), disney trivia questions, or even a deck of cards. Also use Fast pass as much as you can, and seriously consider using a service like Tour Guide Mike; it can really help to reduce ride waits!

Enjoy your trip!
