Two Palms Question

Does anyone happen to know how far down the Two Palms web cam is once you make the right-hand turn into the ocean after the ship moves through the channel?

It would be fun to wave to all the Dissers at just the right time! However, I don't know if that is right after we make the turn, or a little farther down.

Uh, wait a minute, you are talking about waving from where, the beach, or on the ship?

The cam's viewpoint is somewhere near the north end of the beach, just after the ships make the righthand turn when they clear the pier.

Below is a reply that I received from Jim at twopalms.com a few months ago.

Andy,

Jetty Park is nice (we walked there today), but we are actually over a mile from it. We are closer to Cherie Down Park. Our camera's zoom lens, and the angle of the ship channel toward us, makes us seem closer to the port than we really are.

And I figured that, changed the wording above to be more clrear about it too. If I were to guess, based on combination views from the port cam and twopalms, the camera is somplace around the 2 blue lines. The red line is roughly the path the ships take leaving the port.

It's going to be interesting to see if the hurricanes have altered this any.

I realize know one can see us wave, but I definitely want to do it, and think about all my Dis friends as we pass. DH is a wiz at space/distance stuff, so he will review the map and let me know when to start waving.
