Two observations..

I breastfed my babies, but discreetly out of respect for my husband. If I'm in a location full of men, I feel it is more appropriate to cover what I can or leave the room. Of course, a baby needs to be nourished.....but, as mothers, I think we can still manage without it all hanging out.

Well, you actually are kind of demonizing it by your attitude that it must be hidden. Just as you say there is no good reason for both of a woman's breasts to be sitting out for the world to see, there's also no good reason to hide them.

I mean, come on, they're breasts. Mothers switch sides. It's not like anyone hasn't seen them before or there should be any shame involved. So why are you so insistent that it's wrong for them to be exposed while feeding?

In my mind, you're making it out to be a bad thing - which is demonizing it.

Actually, as a culture it is unacceptable to have your girls hanging out unless you are using them to feed at the time. As it is pretty much impossible for one child to be using both breasts at the same time, the one not being used should be covered. Having it out for the world to see and then claiming 'I'm breast feeding" is part of the reason why people get so bent about this subject.

My sister has gone to WDW while breastfeeding, and had no issues doing so without flashing her girls to every passer-by. I can't understand why some people think being modest is a bad thing, even if you are breastfeeding. It is nothing to be ashamed of, but geeze, not everyone wants to see your "girls". And yes, I have been at WDW and had a mom on a bus seated directly across from me breastfeeding, and making no attempt at all to cover anything of herself. And it made for an uncomfortable trip as I didn't want to be accused of staring at her, so I spent the whole ride talking to her person to my left.

i dont know why people still amaze me by doing this stuff, but they do..lol No, the little girl was not special needs,( mom was just lazy) she was running around and laughing and talking with her sister. Ive seen moms changing their kids in restaurants and ive seen moms breast feeding their kids in restairants, i mean moms chest fully exposed breast feeeding while dining in a restaurants..

Do you eat in restaurants with your family around you? Or in a small room all alone? Babies need to eat too.....would you rather see a quiet baby nursing (remember you have complete control to look away and not see the dreaded exposed ****) or HEAR a screaming baby, you have no choice on that one lol.;)

You have no idea if the child was special needs or not just by observing for a few minutes. I do agree no one should change a diaper in an open public place unless there were an emergency (usually even then you can choose the lesser of at least two evils).

I hated changing my kids in public restrooms. The changing areas are so dirty. I often changed them in their strollers with a blanket over the open hood to block them from view of others and I have went so far as to return to my vehicle to change them. When both of these situations were not possible. I would use public changing areas. I just wiped the area down with antibacterial wipes first and used a disposable changing pad (which didn't always stay where it was suspose to).

I have no right to comment on bfeeding because I did not bfeed my kids but honestly it would not bother me at all and if I got a flash I would look away. Modesty :)

I appreciate honesty of those who said they do not want to put baby where others dirty diapers were, honest and no BS about urgency. I think Disney should consider disposable table covers. I hope you guys do it in your stroller, away from people to see or smell and go wash your hands after you are done.

I always do it away from people. In the bathroom, in a back corner somewhere, never where anyone would have any idea what I was doing.
