November 15
We got up relatively later than usual, and went to MK. It was pretty empty there, probably because it was EE day for MGM.
It was a refreshing day - I'd equate it to how it feels in early fall in the Northeast. We were comfortable in sweaters and shorts.
Having skipped Fantasyland the day before, we started there. We walked onto Snow White and Winnie the Pooh. After that, we couldn't resist riding Splash Mountain again, and luckily there was no wait. After a stop at Pirates of the Caribbean, we walked down Main Street to the bakery. The smell gets us all the time! The coffee was quite good, and the cinnamon buns were great too! From there we moved onto Mickey's TOontown fair to get our picture with Mickey. From there onto Tomorrowland. I wanted to ride the Transit Authority so that I could get some pictures from above, and they actually turned out quite nice!
By this time, we headed to catch the boat to take us to Wilderness Lodge for our PS at Whispering Canyon Cafe. Our waitress' name was Roda Horse. I'd that the servers sometimes create quite a scene for entertainment value, but she didn't do too much of that for us, which was fine. The food is another meat-lover's dream : all you can eat barbeque ribs, chicken, beef brisket, beans, sausages... fantastic! After lunch, we walked around Wilderness Lodge and decided that next time we come back, we'd like to stay here. The theming is so nice, as is the view. We tried to get up to the roof for pictures, but were told we weren't allowed. We explored the grounds and saw the geyser erupt on the hour.
We caught the boat back to MK for the Magical Moments Parade, and were lucky enough to get a great viewing spot on the balcony of the train station on Main STreet. We had a perfect view of the parade. The parade was great eye candy - I only wished they didn't make the song so monotonous!
After walking along Main street, we headed home with the intention of hitting Pleasure Island that evening. But our supposedly 1 hour nap turned into a 3 hour nap, and we ended up waking up at 8:30! We decided to lay low that night, and were asleep again by 9:30!
Next day : Busch Gardens
