We couldn't pass up the opportunity to try out the two new sit-down restaurants at Animal Kingdom park this year. We thoroughly enjoyed both Tusker House and Yak & Yeti. (Both for lunch.)

Tusker House had a wonderful array of new things to taste. The buffet isn't as extensive as the one at Boma, but still offered many selections. In addition to the many couscous, curries, and other exotic flavors, I was happy to also find a variety of lunch meats and cheeses. (Crystal Palace has been one of my favorite lunch spots for years because I can make a Dagwood sandwich for myself there. I was able to do the same at Tusker House, which earned it an extra star in my book.)

We also had a wonderful meal at Yak & Yeti. Our biggest problem here was ordering far too much food. (Everything sounded good, so we just started firing off orders.) Two appetizers (one of which served 2 people), a soup, a salad, and two entrees. (We had second thoughts and cancelled one of the entrees before the waiter had left the table, though -- thank goodness!) We very much enjoyed the seared tuna appetizer. The wonton soup had a unique taste I couldn't quite put my finger on -- different from any other wonton soup I'd ever had. I really liked it. The salad was, well... a salad. We weren't very fond of the dim sum appetizer. The maui maui was to die for; we especially liked the peanut sauce it was served in.

We'll definitely be visiting these two restaurants again on future trips.

Thank you for this information, we're going to Y&Y next month, I can't wait !

Thanks for the reviews. I'm thinking about trying Yak & Yeti on our next trip.
