Two memberships, one reservation

When calling MS to book a stay and you want to use two separate membership to "pay" (mine and Mom's) do both members have to be on the line? Or can I do it if I have all of her information? Thanks!!

If you are making reservations with two different member numbers, each is a separate reservation (one books some days and the other the rest) that you then have MS link. Only the member, or designated associate on the membership number, can do the actual reservation of a room. Whether you actually call together depends on when you are making the reservation. If you are calling exactly 11 months out (or 7) then it is pointless to also have your mom on the phone because she will not be able to reserve her half of the trip until she is exactly 11 (or 7) months out from the first day she will be reserving. If you are already far enough within the reservation window for both reservations then you can call together and do it in one phone call.

First of all, if you are using points from two separate accounts, I'm pretty sure it has to be two reservations. Second, it doesn't matter whether you "have all her information," they are not going to let you use her account for anything...unless...

There are two ways around this that I know of. The easiest way is to have her transfer the required number of points into your account. Then you would be able to do the booking alone, and you would only have one reservation.

The other way is to have her designate you as an "associate" on her account. She can do that online and that will allow you to use her account. You would still need two reservations, I think.

You would both most certainly have to call I would think. You can definitely link 2 reservations into one, I did this just last week, I also added the dining plan, I had to make 2 separate payments on each booking but they will run as one booking, it is all stated on the revised confirmation I received and the dining info is on there too.

I did this last year with a member friend. I booked the first 3 nights, she booked the next 3 nights. One of us called and asked for them to be linked and it was treated as a 6 night reservation.
