Two dumb companies....

I love when this happens.
Called the telephone company yesterday, my phone has been down since yesterday afternoon, apparently a truck snapped the telephone lines going across the street , what kind of truck that high would be driving on a comunity road beats me, but you can see the cable sliced and haging down from both poles on both sides of the road. Called to report my phone is one of the affected ones, do you know what they ask me? can we call you back when we find out what the status is? duhhhhhhhhhh, I'm at a payphone lady!
But the best one is when my cable modem goes out, you call in to find out the status of the network and guess what the automated thing tells you? If you would like to know the status of our network, you can find it on our webpage at www.... HELLO?? if I could go to www, I wouldn't be calling you, LOL.

Now they don't know when our phones are going to be fixed, they say hopefully by 5 pm today. Let's see!

Sometimes you just have to laugh. We had someone run off the road and take out the telephone pole. It's on one side of the road and the phone box is in pieces on the other. When we called the phone company to let them know, their response was that there may be a charge to fix it if they find the problem with the phone not working is found to be inside the house. And after the situation had been explained no less!

This sounds like a really funny story. Unfortunately I don't have internet access right now so I can't read it. That reminds me, I think I'll email my ISP and ask if my connection is up yet.
