My son and I will be in Disney for a week over spring break so late March. My husband will only be there for pretty much two days. I'm not so worried about planning the other days but for my husbands two days I'm kinda concerned. My son wants to show him MK, AK, HS. In two days AND we are going to a spring training game so here is the plan and do you guys think this is possible? We have a car, and are on site at the AKL so I need to make FP+ reservations (ugh!), and dinner plans.

Saturday - arrive around 5:30 or 6pm (long drive!). Check in and then eat at either Jiko or Sanaa. Swim and explore

Sunday - quick bfast then RD at AK. Hit Safari, EE, Dinosaur, Primeval, and Kali, walk at least one of the trails and see the animals. Lunch (Tusker House if time) then head to ballpark. Game starts at 1pm. Game ~3hrs. Back to resort. Go to dinner (where? IDK). Early dinner if we ended up with quick service or ballpark lunch.

Then either go to HS or MK. MK has EMH until 2 am but if we stay out all night then not sure how that will impact Monday. Will use FP on second park rather than AK morning. If we go to MK we will want to hit the 3 mountains (Mine train if there is one and probably give up Splash!), Speedway, Buzz, Teacups and Wishes. If we do HS I'm sure my son will want RnR, Toy Story, Star Wars and to draw at Animation Studio and Fantasmic is a must.

Monday - Boma breakfast or Wave or Ohana (probably not too early depending on what we do Sunday), split day between MK and HS. End at whatever park we did not go to on Sunday night. Most likely no RD this day AND only FP at one park.

So now I'm thinking this might be too much. Should I forget about another park Sunday night. My husband has no input. He wants me to plan it and he will do whatever. He is just there for us. oh and the baseball game with his son is important. Everything else...ehh, he is not really into Disney. He does like good quality meals though. Advice? I'm overwhelmed and it is just two days. I think it is because I feel like with FP+ and dinner reservations I can't wing it any.

That seems to me like a crazy amount to fit in to a short amount of time. I feel like your AK morning is very optimistic on what you'd be able to fit in. BUT! I'm not an expert by any means.

Is there any way that your son could pick his 2 favorite parks to share with Dad? I know how kids can be and I totally understand that it might not be possible for him to pick! Are you going to need/use Park Hoppers for the rest of your trip? If he can't pick two parks, could he pick 2 MUST dos and a couple of "gee if we have enough time, these would be really nice to dos" as well?

I think the key to the success of this might be in how you sell it to your son.

Good luck Momma!

I think realistically I would not try to do another park on Sunday night. Have a nice dinner somewhere...maybe go to Downtown Disney? You can have a nice dinner and walk around a bit.

Then get up early (is a fancy breakfast important?) and then go to the parks.

That sounds like an exhausting two days. :goodvibes If your DH's focus is on seeing the game, he might enjoy getting to the ballpark early to watch batting practice. On that day, I would choose one or the other -- AK for two or three hours before the game (depending on when the park opens), or MK afterward. I wouldn't try to do both.

My input on your second day depends on what you end up doing the first. If Sunday is a late night and you are having a mid-morning breakfast on Monday, I wouldn't split my time between two parks afterward. If you take it easy Sunday night, I'd make sure Monday is a rope-drop day if you want to tackle two parks.

How old is your son? I would not plan on Tusker for lunch but still stick with AK, then ball game, then HS with FP's. Then do MK on Monday with FP's :)

My son is 8. I just now tried to get him to rank some things and MK is important so that will be our Monday plan. AK is important for Primeval Whirl (he loves this one :P), EE, Kali, and seeing the animals (trail walk, at the entry, etc.). DHS he wants to draw at Animation Academy, Toy Story, and RnR.

Does anyone know how late Animation Academy stays open? Also, DHS closes at 9:30 but the second showing of F! is at 10. How does this work? I'm thinking we could just do these three things plus maybe Fantasmic on Sunday night and this leaves all day Monday for MK and a nice meal at dinner and maybe sit down breakfast.

Anyone know how early you should arrive at WWoS for the game? We already have tickets and are driving. I was thinking that if we left AK at about 12:15 and game starts at 1 that would be enough time. I'm assuming game is around 3 hrs so back at AKL by 4:30 (or head to next destination...).

I was going to say go for it with such a small amount of time, but not with an 8 year old. We recently did a 12 hour park day with our 7 year old and he was tuckered. Come to think of it.....so was DH. Now me......at WDW I can keep on ticking!!!

My husband is one of those sleep 5 hrs and go all day types. Not so worried about his energy but just his patience with standing in lines. My son does not like to get up early but has a really long fuse once he is up and going. He will be tired around 9 but will often get a second wind. I think if we are sitting for hours during the ball game and then again at dinner he will be ok until about midnight. However, if I want an early morning start I should be back and have him in bed by 10 or 11 so he can sleep until 7 (8 hrs at least). I'm thinking after dad leaves we will take a more relaxing day.
