Two-day trip suggestions for April

We have typically gone to the World for 6-7 day visits. We live in the northeast so that has always made sense for us.

We were able to make lemonade out of a flight cancellation last year and we have a one-day park hopper pass we can use whenever we need to. We also have a ton of airline miles to cover our trip down. We are looking to do a two-night trip.

What suggestions do people have for how to spend a quick trip like this in late April? I was thinking of maybe staying at Pop Century or Art of Animation (to save money and get close to the gondolas for quicker, non-bus transportation). We will likely go to the Magic Kingdom for role drop and then back to the hotel to rest/swim with the little ones before going back to a park at night (maybe EPCOT for fireworks since we could take the gondola). We would likely arrive at MCO by 9:30-10 in the morning and have a day at Disney Springs and the hotel too.

Thank you!

With just one day in the parks, I wouldn't plan a rest/swim time at all. Maybe start the day in EP, then take the monorail to MK. The time to hop CAN be a good rest time even for littles. If they happen to fall asleep or need a longer rest, just stay on the monorail; you can go back and forth between EP and the TTC multiple times without getting off.

I would also be sure to miss the weeks surrounding Easter on the 12th, so make the dates from the 19th on.

The monorail as a rest time is a wonderful idea. Thank you! With us having a full day at the hotel/Disney Springs we may not need the additional pool time. Especially since waiting for a bus will substantially reduce the time we would have at the pool.

We would be going April 21-23 (April vacation in Massachusetts) so I expect some crowds for sure but nothing like Easter I hope.
