I know the DDP works where you get a bucket of credits for Table Service Meals. So, I have a family of 9 going (7 adults and 2 kids). Is it possible to pay for a meal using part DDP and part Cash?

Meaning, can we pay for Cinderella's Royal table by using another person in party's credit to only have to pay cash for 4 meals and 1 kid. Does that make sense? (Because one child would use their TS credit and the other child's) and 3 of the adults would use another adults TS credit as well as their own)

Thanks in advance!

So, I'm not 100% sure what you are asking.

But you can say, "these people are paying with credits (two each) and these people are paying cash."

You can't say, "take one credit for each person and we will pay cash for the other half of the bill."

Does that answer your question?

Yes, that is what I was asking, if some could pay with credits and some could pay with cash.
but since all the credits are in a pool, we can technically "use" another person in our parties credits though, right?

Yes 3 of you and 1 child use the credits, and the rest pay OOP.

As Sharon said, yes, you can do what you are thinking.

All of your credits are in one bucket. They are not assigned to each individual person. Four people staying four nights receive 16 credits, not 4 groups of 4 credits.

Are all 9 on the same reservation?

As a caveat, I ask because I don't believe you would be able to use one credit from one reservation and one credit from a different reservation.

What do you mean? We're in three different rooms, but... it's all going to be linked. Either way, 2 adults in one room (use DDP for one, pay for the other) 3 adults in another room (use 1 DDP and 2 pay) and 2 adults and 2 kids in the third room (1 DDP for kid, and adult and 1 pay for kid and adult). This puts CRT back in the running for where we eat... But, I would be requesting a table for 9 all in one party.

I mean if you want to pay for one person's meal using 2 credits it needs to be from the same reservation pool of dining credits.

Dining credits are pooled per room, so you won't be able to pool everyone's credits for a single meal. Each room will have to use their credits separately.

Sounds like it still works, and, yes, you have one ADR for a party of 9.

"Linked" is not the same as being on the same reservation. If all three of your rooms have one reservation number, all your credits will be pooled across all three rooms. If each room has a separate reservation number, then the credits are pooled by room and you cannot combine one credit from one room account with a credit from another room account to buy a 2 credit meal for one person. Both credits must come from the same account.

"Linked" generally means that Disney reservations has put a notation on multiple rooms that the parties in those rooms wish to be placed near one another at the resort. It's pretty rare for multiple rooms to be under the same reservation number so take a look and be certain what you have.
