We will be traveling with my parents to WDW in March. While we can definitely save receipts and settle up at the end of the trip, it would be easier if both parties (myself, DH, and three kids on one check and my parents on another) could pay separately.

I know that tip will be added automatically due to our party size...can that be split evenly between two checks?

Thanks!

Last time we went with my sisters family and her inlaws, so that made a table of 9. When we let the server know as soon as we were seated, we had no trouble getting 3 seperate checks.

yes, they will split the checks any way you want, but be sure to let your server know ASAP how you'd like them split.

Since your total party will be six or more, the 18% gratuity will be split in the same ratio as the dining prices are split. For example, if one check is $100 and the other $50, there will bve $18.00 tip added to the one and $9.00 to the other. Likewise the tax will be $6.50 on the $100 bill and $3.25 on the $50.00 check.
