I have only briefly been to DCA. I'm not into coasters or thrill rides and just love Disneyland :) I did recently look at the rides and it sounds like two of them Heimlich's Chew Chew and Ariel's Undersea Adventure would be my speed and preference. :) I also do have a health issue, so no herky jerky rides for me. I was wondering is Heimlich's similar to the DL Railroad, just maybe more of scenic ride? Still slow and smooth. Also is Ariel's similar to Finding Nemo/small World? I did get an annual pass and was thinking of checking out DCA for a bit sometime this year. Thank you!

Yep. The train is probably even less bumpy than the DL railroad, and Ariel is like the Haunted Mansion without the tilts (just go around in one big circle pretty much).

The train is just a very short circle loop through plants and props. Nothing too remarkable but a nice 30 sec-1 minute ride.

If you are a fan of the fantasyland dark rides, Monster's Inc ride may be a good choice too. It is basically just a simple dark ride.

Also, if you are feeling a little brave and are not afraid of heights, you can try Soarin'. It is a totally smooth ride with no jerkiness. Aside from the fact that you are suspended, it is not a huge thrill ride in any sense but a very calm thrill.

Agreed. I was thinking that the Monsters, Inc. ride would be a good choice for her too!:thumbsup2

And the trolley! Don't forget the trolley ride around Buena Vista Street and Hollywood Land! It's not extremely exciting, but it's not jerky and it's not a thrill ride.

Toy Story Midway Mania is only verging on jerky when the vehicle turns the corners to get from game to game -- and sometimes it is jerkier than other times; sometimes it's not jerky at all. But the bulk of the ride is not jerky, as you're just sitting in front of the games and pulling the string.

Heimlich is more of a kiddie ride, but it's very cute and I always ride it. It moves very slowly with no jerking. Little Mermaid is also a smooth ride, as is Monster's Inc. You could also ride the non-swinging cars on the Fun Wheel, the Trolley, see the Aladdin show, tour the Animation Building, and see Turtle Talk with Crush.

Like Luv Bunnies said, make sure you see the Aladdin show. It really is a fantastic, very well done show.

Also, how are you on heights? Mickeys Fun Wheel has non-swinging cars.

I echo what pp's have said. But would also like to point out the Pixar Play parade is great. And since you have an annual pass just strolling through DCA is amazing. Carsland is a sight for the eyes, even if you do not ride any of the rides. and Bugsland is really well done (the bathroom is a huge Kleenex box!) ALso if you like corndogs, this is the place for them!

Have a magical time!

I would also suggest Mickey's Fun Wheel. Just remember to go on the stationary gondola.

Thank you for the suggestions. I really appreciate it and sorry it has taken me a day or so to reply. When I was a kid I loved the Sky Ride at Disneyland and also the one at Sea World. I went to Sea World about 6 years ago for the first time in ages rode the Sky Rider and it was awful! I didn't feel safe at all and really didn't enjoy the ride much either, very herky jerky. My memories of the one at DL were other than loading in the car and maybe getting off too, it was smoother. I loved the Peoplemover and wish it would return in some new form. I have honestly never been into thrill rides or coasters. I will check out DCD one day and let you know. I am excited to get back soon once it warms up a little here to DL. :) Have a lovely Sunday.

Hahahaha my friend who is an honor's English teacher would kick my **** for that one! :sad2:
