Two bits of Disney Magic to share!

First one: We had finished Tower of Terror, and were having a donut and coffee at the little stand right outside the exit. Just a few folks around. Suddenly, the big doors swung open and WHAT!?!? A whole slew of characters were there with their arms wide open and so excited to see us! Rafiki, King Louie, Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Chip and Dale, with a few handlers. They come and grab some of the kids, take them back behind the big doors, and we all had about 20 minutes to interact, get autographs, pictures - the whole nine. My wife talked to one of the CMs and she said it was just a surprise visit. It was over almost as quick as it started, but my two girls couldn't have been more pumped about it. No lines, full interaction and cool characters!

Second one: Just blind luck, I'm guessing, but we got a same day fast pass for Flight of Passage while in AK for all 8 in my party!! Woop!

Thanks for letting me brag a bit, but I love some pixie dust!

I've actually read about this on Kenny the Pirate's page. Apparently it's random and sometimes it's rare characters. So cool.

The FOP fast passes for 8 is a minor miracle!! It always makes me think of the underlying "fast pass etiquette" with people. If we make a fast pass 60 days out, and something comes up that we can't use it that day, we always try to cancel in case someone else can. Someone must've been respectful when their party couldn't make it to FOP - and you were the beneficiaries! That's awesome. Hope you all enjoyed it! 8 of you gets you an entire side to yourself!

We had the Palooza once in EP with Minnie, Daisey and assorted Robin Hood characters. I knew that it happens in the ToT area as well, but never lucky enough to catch it there. Always unannounced. What fun!

It was pretty special. We were all shocked. Our AK day in general was just beautiful. Great shows and rides. My oldest conquered Everest. Those days are memory makers.
