Two Princess birthdays, One wedding anniversary, and Star Wars weekend, oh my!

Who: My hubs and I, our three kids (DS12, DD4, DD8) and the MIL.

When: June 2-8, 2915.

Where: Art of Animation, Finding Nemo Family Suites.

Other important facts: We only have five day, non-park hopper passes. My son is handicapped and in a wheelchair for places like Disney (he gets fatigued easily), my MIL uses a Scooter and I have food allergy, and we will have our own car. We have the DxDP.

Arrival: The goal is to arrive in Orlando between 1-3 pm (we are coming from visiting family in Savannah). We are going to hang out at the resort and go to dinuner at Flying Fish Cafe (the husband’s choice).

Wednesday: Epcot

Breakfast: ‘Ohana (this is my DD4 birthday. She chose Lilo and Stitch). The plan is to park at the TTC, take the monorail to Poly for our 0810 ADR and then take the monorail to Epcot. I figure the breakfast will take 90 minutes (based on previous character meal experience) and then transport to Epcot, getting a GAC card (or whatever the current equivalent is) and scooter rental will take another 90 minutes, I put use ready to do anything at 11ish. (I’m really hoping it doens’t take that long, but who knows.)

I will attempt to get FP+ for the following rides:(I know nothing about FP+, I’ve never used it in the past because we’ve always had a GAC).

Soarin

Turtle Talk

Test Track

Mission Space or Illuminations (Is it worth it to do one for Illuminations? Us coming back for Illuminations is up in the air….depends on how long dinner takes….)

The only other rides the kids want to do are: Living with the Land, The Seas, Spaceship Earth and the Countries.

The plan is to leave Epcot, and take the monorail to 1900 Park for dinner. We’ve already done Akershus and my daughter isn’t interested in going again.

We will attempt to return after dinner, but if they are too tired to come back, we will go back to the resort. I might take just one of my kiddos (or maybe the hubby) back to the Countries or maybe we’ll go swim.

Thursday: AK

Breakfast: Boma (0745 ADR)--we will then drive to AK from Boma for rope drop at AK.

FP+ (potential):

Kilimanjaro Safari’s

Festival of the Lion King

Expedition Everest

Dinosaur

We will also go through the animals, but I’m not sure we will go to the Conservation Station, we did that last time and weren’t particularly impressed. We will probably do a QS lunch (my guess would be BBQ).

The girls also want to meet Pocahontas.

Our plans for dinner that night is for my husband and I to go to the California Grill for our anniversary while the MIL takes the kids back to the resort.

Friday: Off World.

The plan for this day is to go to the Clearwater Aquarium. According to mapquest, the clearwater aquarium is approx. 2 hrs from Orlando. The original thought was that we would go to Chef Mickey’s for breakfast (we have 0715 ADR’s), but I feel like we could do the QS at AOA and save some time. The goal is to be back from Clearwater by 6pm. We have reservations at Cinderella’s Royal Table at 6:50pm. My children will sleep in the car from Clearwater to Orlando (and they are good at sleeping in the car) so that will be their rest period that day. After CRT, we are going to do all the night time activities at MK. My goal is to get a FP for A&E, Rapunzel and see Merida. If we can knock out those four, we’re set for our next visit to back to MK later in the week. We’ll then do the parade and wishes (FP those too).

Saturday: DHS

Breakfast: Sci-Fi Dine-In Star Wars Intergalactic Breakfast (my son and hubs love Star Wars, they made me promise it was “real Star Wars” and not “Disney Star Wars characters.”)

This is Star Wars weekend at DHS. I know it’s going to be crowded.

Our ADR is 0800, which will put us in the park before it opens.

I think that this is the hardest FP day for me, because the kids want to do it all, and because of their age range, it’s going to be hard, I’m going to see if DH will take DS and do all the Star Wars stuff while I take DD’s and MIL and do ‘girl’ stuff.

The girls want to do:

Frozen (of course)

Disney Junior

Beauty and the Beast

and they want to meet Sophia, Phineas and Ferb, Sully and Mike, the Incredibles and Mater.

Any recommendations on this day would be helpful.

We have ADR’s for Mama Melrose at 1750 w/ passes to Fantasmic. It will be a long day in the park.

Sunday: MK

Breakfast: The Crystal Palace (0800)--we will drive to TTC and take either Ferry or Monorail.

I would love to ride the mountains, with that being said, my daughter won’t go on really dark rides (Space Mountain). 7DMT is a must for us. We also have reservations for BOG for dinner at 6pm. That’s the most of what I have planned for Sunday. We absolutely want to see the parade as well. After dinner, we really have no plans. This is the last unplanned day that I have, and any input regarding other rides would be great.

Any suggestions (scheduling, what to FP, what not to FP, recommendations, etc)? I’d love to hear from you!

Hi! :) Your plans sound fun. We are doing some of the same things on our trip: Flying Fish dinner, Fantasmic! package at Mama's, and early Crystal Palace reservation. We also like the idea of leaving the park in the afternoon and riding the monorail to a resort for a meal. In our case to Grand Floridian Cafe for lunch.

California Grill anniversary dinner sounds awesome! I limited myself to only one Signature this trip so FF won over CG but someday I would love to go and see the MK fireworks. :cloud9:

We've never seen Illuminations, we just never happened to be at Epcot at that time. We definitely plan on it for this trip.

I can't offer too much advice but I will say that for FP at Epcot there is a tier system. Living with the Land, Soarin', Test Track and Illuminations are tier one so you can only choose 1 per day. You wouldn't be able to get FP for both Soarin' and Test Track. :sad1: Someone was kind enough to point that out to me in my PTR.

Hollywood Studios also has a tier system but I'm not as familiar with that. Toy Story Mania might be a good FP to get, I don't think it's that dark. If you feel like taking a break from the park there's a boat you can take over to the Boardwalk - there's some QS food options as well as TS at YC and BC. Just a thought. We plan on doing that for a late breakfast at Captain's Grill at YC then our early dinner at Mama Melrose's.

Looking forward to hearing more of your plans. :goodvibes
