I was reading a guide book that said it really does get you wet.

It sounded so cool--now I'm rethinking if we are going on a cool January day without backpacks and far from our Disney resort and change of clothes.

For those who have experienced Twister, what do you think??
Just a misting, or do you come out wet??

I've done it once, and I only got "misted". A few others I saw got more, but I don't think alot more. I was standing in the second (middle) row of aisles, right of center as you look out. I don't remember where the slightly more wet folks were. HTH!

Seems like you only get misted right in the very front? I've never had a problem getting wet on that attraction.

Yeah...you get a lot wetter if you stand on the top row in the back than in the front...usually.

We've done it 3x and have been slightly damp each time. It really does depend where you stand. Go near the back and you probably won't feel much at all. It's great in the summer but you're right, I wouldn't want to be soaked on a cool winter day.

The water actually comes from the back (this really surprised us) so you'll be better off standing in front. We were there on a COLD day but fortunately had our coats on, so we were okay. DS's head was soaked and the rest of us got some wet heads/shoulders as well. We were near the back.

This is one of our "Must do's" when we visit. Unless they have changed it in the last year... You will hardly get wet. We stay in the front row and get a misting, if that much.... I cannot EVER remember getting soaked from this ride.... enjoy!:goodvibes

This happened to me last time, too! I think since the water sprays from the back, anything that doesn't make it doesn't turn into "mist", so it's like getting a bucket of water dumped on you. I was completely caught off guard when that happened to me. Don't stand in the back!

I would ask someone who worked the attraction where would be the best place for you to stand :goodvibes Have fun!

Yes pretty sure at the back you won't get hit at all, I have done this several times and never remembered getting wet, as others said, probably just a little misted at most. I definitely don't think you have to worry about getting really wet like on the Blutos Barges or Dudley do Right. Little damp at most, if that.

I've had my back soaked on this attraction, while in the back row. I believe this is occurs because, where people stand, there's a partial roof overhead which allows some of water in the show to pool up. Then roof shakes, allowing that pooled up water to drain onto some of the people below.

Just did it last month. We were in the front row towards the center and only got lightly misted. As far as getting wet, it was nothing. As far as the attraction goes, it was really neat!

We just went last weekend and stood in the next to the back row and got really wet. The man standing behind me was taller so he blocked most of the water and he looked pretty upset. I guess it depends on how much water is on the roof because it happened right after it caved in.

i stood in the front row and got misted only...I actually think this attraction is STUPID!!!!! and would never actually waste my time doing it again but I guess that's just me :confused3

Not just you. I've tried it twice, thought it stupid and a waste of time both times. I just found nothing about it even slightly entertaining.

Eh, to each their own. I would never run to this ride but it's OK and refreshing on a hot day. I personally think that the queue is the most impressive looking area but the show itself is OK.

Be sure to watch for the cow. ;)

Speaking of the queue...If you remember the Mercury Colony Park station wagon that was parked in the queue, it has made numerous appearances at HHN the past two years. This year it was stored beside one of the house queues so it didn't get featured anywhere. I would love to have that car. :rotfl:
