Has anyone attended this event? DD has wanted to for a long time, but it hasn't worked out before.

She will be attending this year. The timing works out with her school holiday and I was able to snag a timeshare exchange at Saratoga Springs, so our lodging is covered.

My friend's daughters twirl. They just returned from a National Competition in Indiana (I think) last week. I know they did a competition earlier this year at Disney. It may have been Twirlmania. I think it was either March or April. We did 2 dance competitons there in Feb and March and it was a week or two
after one of them but I don't remember which.

Do you have specifc questions? I'd be happy to pass them along and get some details for you if there isn't anyone here who can help you.

Yuppers! We'll be attending for the 4th year in a row - this is my DD's favourite competition.

Mine too - everything about Twirlmania is just better. Yes, the competition has some elite athletes (what a great opportunity to see the best all in one place) but it's very well organized and just so much fun.

My girls did Twirlmania in 2009. We were originally going to go again this year but due to the economy there weren't enough girls on the team who could go.

We had a ball. They were in the parade, competed at Twirlmania, and we made a vacation out of it. We stayed a week and my in-laws came too. We stayed at the GF, had unseasonably warm weather and had a ball.

DD19 did TM when she was younger and we had a blast! There's just nothing like watching them dance and it's even better when you know it's at WDW! It was such a great experience and one she won't forget. We always stayed at a WDW resort just because it was so much easier and I love it there.
