We were in our usual seats at the game last night, but had to leave early because I was not feeling well at all. Hope to be back in the saddle by the playoffs next week!

Yankees beware!

Congrats to you Twins, Diane. Barring a complete meltdown by the Red Sox (not out of the question, of course), the Twins will face the Yankees in the first round. It's too bad your boys will be knocked out in the first round, after the great run they've had these last couple of weeks.

Twins have the best record in BB since the all star break. Yankees on the other hand, have not been doing as well as they did in the early part of the season.

I do, but being the Yankee fan that I am I have to say it and believe it. The Twins are playing some good baseball, but they have lost 13 straight games to the Yankees, and the Yankees are playing as good baseball as they have all season, as long as they don't let David Wells pitch.

yes, and we have lots of trouble with some of your pitchers! Of course, we were playing rotten BB when we lost all the current season games to the Yanks, so they might not be expecting us to do as well as we know we can now! Twins seem to be peaking at the best time!

Actually, Gladden said last night that he spoke to one of the Yankee scouts who was worried about the Twins!

Sadly, my beloved Pirates are no where near the playoff action (again ), so Diane I'll be more than happy to root for the Twins with you!

I am scheduled for some surgery the first day the playoff games come to Minnesota. I just might have to change my surgery! I MUST be at that game!

Good point. You can reschedule surgery, but you can't reschedule the next to last home game of the season.

Why did we have to? I was at Tuesday's game, and there was no reason to reschedule it! It's those darn play off games on the weekend that are causing problems. The Uof M football game will be effected.

BTW, it is only minor surgery, and I got it switched to Thursday!

I was talking about this game as being the next to last game of the Twins season. I hope everything goes well on your surgery.
