Ok, so I just got home from Toy R Us and no luck finding the matchbox volvo. I found it in a 20 pack but it was blue so no go. Next to Target and Walmart, because they're right next to each other.

DSis came for a visit over the weekend and we watched the DVD again (for the 7th or 8th time but who's counting), and I spotted Victoria at the prom. Maybe I am just unobservant, but I've never noticed her before. It made the ending sequence even more creepy, knowing how close she got to Bella.

that's like how i didn't notice that butt crack santa was the guy in the boat that gets killed. those things escape me but some of the continuity issues they have hit me right away.

For a second there I was like... Edward didn't say that, lol. Then I reread your response and realized we're not talking about Edward, we're talking about Darkward!

I thought that too. Between Alice and Edward, they would have known she was there. I didn't like that they added this to the movie. Anyone who has read the books is going to go to all the movies, they didn't need to leave a cliffhanger for me.

That was horrible and made no sense! Of course Edward would have known she was there. Plus, she is a nomadic, human feeding, vampire. I doubt she would have been able to be in such close proximity to all the tasty fresh blood.

I thought about that the first time I saw it in theatres! You'd think he would have smelled Jake too..

I never got the impression he couldn't smell Jake. Of course, at this point Jake had not transformed so he would smell human. He had to do something, and when he came back he got rid of Jacob. Plus, it's not that he smells Jacob or Billy when he gets to Bella's house, he can hear their thoughts.

I agree! I did not need a cliff hanger either, but for those that have not read the book, I guess might need that to know she will be in the next one and won't be giving up. I read the book after I watched the movie, but even before I read the books I kind of found it weird she was there because of Edwards mind reading and Alice's visions. Why no one knew she was there? i don't know!

I am glad I read the book after though because I liked the movie but I think if I read the books first I would have been disappointed with the movie just because of the fact they switched some things and left some of my favorite stuff out that was in the book. All in all the movie was good. It also helped because I could visualize the characters better.

I am very interested to see the upcoming movie New Moon! I have read all the books (twice now) so I will be able to know while I am watching the movie what they have changed and added so that will be interesting!

The other issue here is that no one is supposed to know that Victoria is after Bella. Edward didn't quite realize that Victoria saw herself as James's mate or that she would avenge him because she was so sure of him when they met in the meadow. Victoria is supposed to be a surprise to everyone- including the reader! If Edward had known he would never have just up and left and would have made much more of an effort to track Victoria- plus he would have had Alice watching for that. Just because he left did not mean he still wasn't oveprotective.

I thought that too. If Edward had known that Victoria was James' mate he wouldn't have allowed her to live either, because he would have known that she would avenge his death. I don't know that Victoria was a surprise but definitely a bother and unknown threatonce we realized in Eclipse that it was her. But him not knowing did make us question Edward and his ability, it gave the reader some insight into how his gift works. If he doesn't know to look for something than he probably won't pick up on it, kind of similar to Alice. Maybe that's why he didn't pick up on Victoria at the prom in the film? That could be a plausible reason.

I just got home and had the best surprise in my mailbox. Well, maybe not the best surprise, but a good surprise.

I got my "How To Be" CD. I'm downloading it to my MP3 player, so I can learn the songs. I'm going to Chicago on Wednesday to see the screening. It will be cool to know the music before seeing the movie.

Sadly, I did not get an autographed copy, but I guess I'll live.
