This would suit our budget, but I'm concerned if its worth it. Does anyone know what the crowds are like trying to get in at that 3pm start? Also, not sure just how much we could see going in after 3. Any opinions ? Thanks!

Its definitely worth it. The crowds start decreasing around 3:00 so this is a great opportunity for your family. You will get an opportunity to see all the day shows and all the night shows. You have less time obviously than if you were there from park opening, however the park is open until 10:00 so its a great deal for a 7 hour day at the park.

Here is a schedule for a weekday in July
http://www.seaworld.com/ParkHours.aspx?LocationID=1&ScheduleID=40371

As you can see, you will get atleast 2 chances to see any of the "Must See" Shows.

If your planning to go on a weekend, you will have more opportunities to see the shows.

When were you planning on going?

Hope you decide to go and if you do, I hope you have a great time!

Thank you so much for the quick reply! We will be in Universal the first week of August. Thank you for the link to the show times. I'm sure they should be similar for first week of august. Now I have some thinking to do :)

I hope you end up deciding to go. Your family will really enjoy this park. If you have never been to Seaworld, believe me, it isnt like a Universal or Disney. Its a very relaxing, take it easy type of park. Where as Disney and Universal tend to be more fast paced. Sometimes a slower pace to your day makes it more enjoyable.

If you have any more questions about the park id be happy to help answer them for you!

Just a question on transportation. We will miss the hotel shuttle with the hours of the twilight ticket. I know a cab to SW, won't be an issue. What about coming out? Is there alot of cabs usually waiting. There are 5 of us, so just worried a regular cab wont be able to take us. I may need to arrange a van ahead of time to come get us?

With your trip being in the Summer, even with cabs waiting, it will be very difficult to get one. I would go the safe route and arrange for a van to pick up your family.

It's worth it, once 5:00 pm hits, the crowds start decreasing quite nicely to where ride waits are nothing to complain about. It's good price for a 7 hour day.
