Since none of the fanfic sites I'm signed up on are accepting submissions right now, here's short fanfic that I wrote:
I was waiting in my bedroom, looking out my window for a sign of Edwards silver Volvo, or his glistening bronze hair. I could have sworn I saw his reddish brown locks bouncing down the street, but sighed in disappointment as a noticed that the boy was wearing all black attire and towing a skateboard sideways across his shoulders.
However, to my surprise, the Edward-like skater boy turned into my driveway, walked up the path, and knocked on my door. Charlie was still at work, so when I headed into the living room to answer the door I was a little bit wary. I didnt really trust other boys besides the Cullens, but I decided that the kid looked harmless enough and was probably new in town. I answered the door.
The boy walked right in and sat on the couch, putting his skateboard on the floor.
And just who do you think you are?! I shouted at the kid.
He got up, and smiled a crooked smile. He had butterscotch colored eyes, and it was then that I realized that the boy was Edward.
Edward looked utterly horrendous. His shirt was black, and in a weird, drippy red text had the name of a bad metal band on it. His pants, which were also black, were draped in silver chains. To top it all off, he had on black Converse high tops and loads of eyeliner.
Edward? I said, my voice shaky.
You like it, Bella? He said, obviously pleased with himself.

I said, trying not to hurt his feelings.
Oh, He frowned. I was only trying to look more modern. I thought it would please you. Edward looked genuinely saddened.
Edward, I love the way you dress! In fact
I smirked.

Must I carry the cane? Edward asked.
Yes, I said. It looks hot. That made him smile. We had just gotten back from an antique shop wear he helped me pick out some clothing that he said he had worn when he was still human. It looked great on him.
Fine
Edward said. He looked like quite the Victorian gentleman, in his black striped trousers, white shirt, and handsome frock coat.
