Hi all
Last minuite question.

Whats the best way round?

Were staying at The Hilton, Gatwick on Sunday were flying with Virgin so we'll be doing the Twilight Check In.

Were also parking the car there.

Do you check in at the hotel first and park your car and then go to Twilight Check in on the bus with your cases or do you park in a short stay car park go to Twilight Check In then the hotel then park your car.

Thanks.

In the middle of packing and I just thought of this.
Sharon.

Is it the Hilton at the South Terminal? If so it is just a covered walkway across to the terminal so I would park at the hotel and drop off the cases then check in at the hotel.

Claire ;)

As I understand it the Hilton is attached to the airport by a walkway so there would be no bus involved.

If that is right I would park at the hotel and check-in there, then walk over to the airport and do Twilight check-in.

Are you actually parking at the hotel? We did this once and the second time we had to park the car ourselves in the long term parking and get the bus back.

Either way I'd do online check-in before I left home. Keep the cases with me so I can put my overnight suff in them in the morning and then walk over to drop off my bags before breakfast.

We always park at the front of the hotel, check-in and then go straight to twighlight check-in, go back and get the car, take it to the carpark and get the bus back to the airport and have a look around the shops.

(I think you are supposed to have around 15min to check-in to the hotel and then go park you car, it's a bus ride back)

Just a point to consider on your return - send one person (without cases) to get the car from the long stay carpark whilst the rest of you walk (with the cases) back through to the Hilton where you can be collected from reception.

There is always a crush to get on the bus to the long stay carparks and we have found that sending one person for the car is much easier than everyone plus cases fighting for a place on the bus.

Thanks for your replys, great help.
Penlanspice I shall take your advice thankyou :)

The car shall be parked off site Wickesy, last time we went we drove the car to the car park then you have to get a bus back.

Camac, Thanks for the return tip ;)
