For those of you who didn't see this last night, The Animal Planet will be rebroadcasting this show today at 10 p.m. and early Monday morning at 1 a.m.

It's an amazing documentary on the people and the animals that are part of the National Zoo in Washington DC. Of course, the main story is the birth of the new panda. For an OMG, that the cutest animal I've ever seen!, it gets a 10++++. ::yes::

Don't miss it.

I was flipping thru the channels last night and caught this! Isn't he adorable??? I think it would be so exciting to have a part in taking care of the pandas! DS's 8th grade class is taking a trip to Washington DC/Gettysburg in the Spring. I asked the tour director to please add a stop to the National Zoo to see the baby panda. I also read somewhere that the costs for each panda in the country is somewhere around 1 million dollars per panda PER YEAR!!! That's alot of money to only have the pandas on loan from China. I know alot of that money goes towards research, food, and medical care but it seems China is making a heafty profit raising awareness of the pandas.
