are the classic ships provided with a TV guide? I've read trip reports where people cant seem to catch what they mean to, and since they don't have on demand viewing (they still don't right?) how do you know what's on?

They're not on demand movies. I think it varies slightly between the two, but you'll find theres a Pixar channel, Marvel, Disney classics, Live action, Disney Junior, Disney Channel... etc...
They just rotate through, so unless you're onboard and watching long enough to work it out, you won't know whats on or whats coming next until you're watching (but things like Toy Story 1,2,3 seem to follow each other). While you cannot choose exactly what you want, there are quite a few channels to flick through to find something you like or something that is just starting.
There should be a list of the different channels in the cabin, or just call guest services and they can get one for you.

On our first Disney cruise in 2007 they had a guide that told the rotation of movies on the stateroom tvs. Unfortunately, I haven't seen that since then or maybe our second cruise in 2009. :( I find it annoying to not know when and what is showing.

This was what the TV guide looked like on our 2012 Wonder cruise. Basically, each movie channel (12 of them) would run the same movie back to back all day, staggered start times.

We would catch the beginning, middle, or end at various times during the cruise and would have seen the whole thing.

Thank you Princess I was hoping you would have a photo :love1:

I haven't seen the print guide in a while. Instead, the channel listing scrolls by on one of the tv channels. For the Feature Films channels, you would turn to each channel and if the movie isn't playing it will display its showtimes, like you see on the right there.

We asked at guest services for some kind of TV schedule information on our 2014 Wonder cruise and were told that there is nothing available in print, but that we would be able to get the info on the various channels themselves. But as @ImprovGal explained, you can only see this when the movie is not playing. So, it really is not much help. It appears that at some point the discontinued the sheet that @PrincessShmoo got in 2012.

Holy cow, I had no idea there were that many channels!! From my kids' use of the TV, I would have thought there was nothing but 5 channels showing Disney movies and cartoons!
