 :D Hi, I was wondering if you could tell me if Disney offers a tuxedo rental service on board?? Hubby actually wants to dress up for the formal night and since this is a miracle in its own right, I figured I would ask for advice;) ;) !

We have a local formalwear store, Tyndalls, that will give him an all inclusive package for $199, but it may be more of a hassle trying to carry the luggage and an additional garment bag. Packing for a week can be tough!:D :D

Thanks for all your help

Lisa

Hi Lisa! No, it's not onboard, but you can rent a tuxedo in advance through the service they use:

Information will be included in your documents and they will deliver the tuxedo to the ship for you. :)

DH finally let me order him a tux for next Sat!

During our family seven Day Western cruise in August I rented the two dinner jacket package from Cruiseline Formals. Everything was perfect and the family looked great for both formal and semi formal affairs.

The best part of the trip is now trying to determine which photo to have made into the annual Christmas card. My vote is the one with the family and the Captain all dressed in white formal attire infront of the statue of Walt outside the theater.

Happy Holidays to all.

Also check out eBay - I was able to get a tux AND a Mickey bow tie & vest for less than renting (and now I'll have a tux for our .next cruise:p )

Another option is the S&K Menswear chain. They frequently offer a very nice tux package for about $200 - everything but the shoes. And they will offer lifetime tailoring so if you lose/gain weight within range available from the pants! :p they will take in and out.

Did this for DH last spring and he thought I was nuts! When would he ever wear that so much...he has and will continue to wear.

My wife convinced me to do the tuxedo gig for our recent cruise. Rather than rent one at home and haul it cross-country, we got a courtesy fitting here in Portland and emailed my measurements to the formalwear site online. I had my doubts as to how well it would fit, but it was great! The tux was hanging in the stateroom when we arrived, and I could leave it there when we left. I think I wore it four times between two formal dinners and two nights at Palo. The only problem was that the sleeves were slightly long on the jacket, but when you're only 5'4" with a weight-training type build, you don't expect perfection "off the rack". I just turned the cuff under a half inch or so (right to the edge of the button), and it stayed put pretty well.

i ended up buying one, at local mens store for $ 150.00
we had a couple of cruise booked so it made sense to do this
for us . when wife already has garment bag 1 more tux is no big deal to bring along ..
