Tuxedo Rental Price

My fiance and I went to check out tuxedos today and I freaked out at the price! We live in a small town so maybe they made it more than somewhere out of town, but I was just curious how much the average tux rental costs. Maybe I am being a cheap skate but I think $235 for a rental is crazy! My bridesmaid dresses are not even that much! If I am wrong, I guess we will have to move our budget around hahaha!

My DF is going through After Hours. We did the Tommy Hillfiger tuxedo and it was only $109... and that is their top of the line. The accessories were about another $50.

However, they have $70 tuxes as well.

Have you considered ordering online if you don't have a tux shop with reasonable prices near you? You could get the complimentary measurement from any tailor or tuxedo rental place... and just provide After Hours in Orlando the measurements. That's actually what we are doing... and the tuxes are getting delivered to our hotel

Df got his at Men's Warehouse for $99 each and because there were 5 of them his was free. That included everything. But we had a $20 per tux coupon from a bridal show.

We are using Carolyn Allen's and did the measurements at home and sent them down. Way more reasonable and don't have to worry about transporting it. If I could have done that with a gown, I would have done that too !!

We are sending DF's measurements to After Hours and having the tuxes delivered to our resort as well (less stress). I believe their basic tux begins at $59.99, then $79.99 and up. To get the tie, vest, and shoes it is an additional $40 and a $5 fee in case you damage the tux. I think our total for 1 tux will be around $130.

We too are going thru Men's Warehouse and got the $20 off/per person coupon on the internet. The price for ours will be $70 / per person. That price includes everything and the tax. We went to the Men's Warehouse here in town, and they guys will be getting measured there as well. The pick up / drop off will be in Orlando.

The family wedding we just had in Nov, used After Hours and had a TON of problems with stuff not fitting and needing to get switched and stuff. We figured with all the time that was spent on getting it straightened out, the guys could have just gone to the store to pick them up. So that's why we vent with a different vendor and the guys will be going to the store to pick them up. That way if something doesn't fit right , it can be taken care of right then and there in the store. It was just another one of those lessons learned from those who've done it before!

We rented from a small local bridal shop and got their top of the line for DH & BM for $90 each.
I would find somewhere else!

When we were planning we looked into the tux rental shop in my hometown (a smaller community) becuase we had a Selix coupon from a bridal show and the tux prices were pretty close to what you were quoted. We went to After Hours but their prces weren't too different. So we went to Mens Warehouse with a "rent 4 and the groom is free" coupon and walked out renting from them. I think that the tuxes that we rented were in the $75-$90 range. Plus we could pick them up at our local shops and return them in Anaheim where our wedding took place. It worked out just fine.

We also used Carolyn Allen's, and they were very reasonable, and brought them to our hotel for fitting, brought them back for the wedding a few days before, and picked them up the day after the wedding.

My DBF is in a wedding this November and at Men's Wearhouse the tuxes were $84.99 and included EVERYTHING.
