Does anyone know of a tuxedo rental shop that will deliver and pickup the tuxes from your Disney Resort? If so, how do they handle the measurements for out-of-towners?

Any help is appreciated as I am the groom and have been slacking because I thought After Hours formal wear offered this service and to my suprise this weekend when I called them they informed me they will not pickup or deliver tuxedos. Also, she told me the closest store is 45 minutes away from WDW. Our wedding is in November and I thought I had it all figured out with going to After Hours for the tuxedos.

We used Absolutely Fitting in Winter Park. They were great! We went there for a fitting while were did our planning session but you don't have to, the rest of the groomsmen ( all in PA) just went locally and got measured and provided them thier measurments via the phone. They delivered and fitted while they were there to make sure they all fit and then picked them up. I definitly recommend them.

I don't know why they told you the closet After Hours is 45 minutes away:confused3.

We did our measurements for the entire bridal party here and are picking them up at the Florida Mall, and that's about a 20 minute drive, more or less depending on which Disney Hotel you're staying at.

As for On-Site, http://www.carolynallens.com/default.htm will come to your hotel and get your measurements, drop off and pick up the tuxes.

Thanks for the information! That might be a quick cab ride since we will not have a rental car. Would you happen to have the phone number of the After Hours in the Florida Mall? When I asked the local store they gave me three different phone numbers and I was told the one 45 mins away was the closest.

There is also an After Hours in the Loop in Kissimmee which is actually really close to Disney Property. Then there is another right off I-4 near Millenia Mall which is probably about 20 minutes away from Disney, depending on your hotel.

The store in the Loop's phone number is 407-847-5208 and the one at Millenia is 407-352-0296.

Disney should have provided you a list of tuxedo vendors in your paperwork, check that out because all the contact info is listed.

We are actually using after Hours and they are deleivering the tuxedos to us at the Grand Floridian. The following is the person that we have been in contact with Julie Mischia at 407-656-7700 x 2601. Hope this helps.

We are not this far in our planning stage yet but I have read wonderful things on these boards about Carolyn Allens. They will also do all the steaming for the brides and bridesmaid gowns. You might want to check with your bride if she is doing this and you can get everything done with one person.

Linda

Thanks for all the advice and suggestions!

I spoke with Carolyn Allens and they could assist but since I procastinated so long the times they could meet us for the fittings would be cutting it really close with room check-in times and such. Not to mention the confusion it would cause some of the people in our group to have to "just go get measurements" and send them down there. You might laugh (b/c my fiance and I do:lmao: ), but a simple thing like this would throw some of them for a loop.

So, acting on TinkerFairy's tip I went on the After Hours website and called the store in the Florida Mall. I spoke with the manager and she informed me they are only 10-15 minutes away from Disney World. After talking with the fiance, she agrees we should go thru them since it would probably be the easiest way for everybody to get fitted and get their tuxes.

We used Carolyn Allens. Since we had people all over the country and canada, everyone got measured in their hometown. Carolyn then set up a time to go ahead and meet with the boys to make sure that the tux would fit and do quick alterations if needed. She then turns them back into the resort. We just left the tuxes in bell check as we went on the honeymoon.

A couple of days late on this, but I would go with the after hours number above where the poster mentioned delivery. This is not a store but a department of after hours in orlando that does nothing but events for weddigns and other groups comign in from out of town. They email you a simple form that each groomsman takes to their local After hours and you fax them back in or email them. They will then bring the tuxes to your hotel for everyoen to try on, and they'll exchange anythign that is the wrong size for you. It'd be a lot simpler for you!

We used Carolyn Allens. We got meaasured at a local After Hours, then filled out CA's form online. They came to the hotel and everybody got exactly the right size, but mine (the groom) was a little off in the jacket and shirt. Different sizes were delivered later on the same day to the hotel.

For anybody thinking of using Carolyn Allen's, they've switched their affiliation from After Hours to Jim's Formalwear. I'd never heard of it before, but I found tons of Jim's dealers around the country, so it should be just as easy to try the tuxes on in your town....

OMG!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: This is the best news EVER! Only because they have some great options for the type of style that DF wanted and I wasn't finding it readily available until now! I'm soooo excited! :cool1: This is the best news ever. I just sent all the links over to DF, can't wait to see if he likes it!!
