In order to give us time to get from Epcot back to ASSp, and then on to Mnsshp, I had to do the unthinkable. I cancelled our dinner ressies at Le Ceiller!:scared1: Shocking, I know! Instead, we are having lunch at Tutto Italia.

So can someone please tell me about Tutto? How big are the lunch sized portions? Should we plan on splitting something, so that we are not all stuffed, and have to waddle thru the Magic Kingdom? What is good? Could my 13yr old niece, who eats like a bird, order off of the kids menu? How long does a lunch at Tutto take? Is the food spicey? Will I need to pack some tumms?

TIA!:flower3:

Tutto Italia is very good!!!!! Not spicy at all. I hate spicy spood yuck so if the place was I wouln't eat there lol.

I only had dinner so I can't help with lunch.

I don't know about lunch but we had dinner there last week and it was wonderful!
I think it depends on what you order as far as the portions go. I had the lasagna and it was a very large portion but my husband had the sacchetti (sp?) and it was a very small portion. What we had was not at all spicy.

Have fun at the Halloween party! We went twice on our trip and had a great time. If your niece is a Snow White fan she is usually out with all 7 dwarfs (very rare) near the Tea Cups at certain times during the Halloween party.

I have eaten there a couple of times. Some of the portions are small so order carefully. If the weather is nice eat outside, it's a nice touch.....

If you are on the DDining Plan they will not allow Kids that are (considered Adults by Disney) to order off of the Kids Menu. We had that come up last week with my DS BFF who was on the trip with us--he is 13yrs and little for his age, eats very little, mostly likes kids meals and they would not allow him
to order off the kids menu. I'm not sure if they will allow it if you are paying
OOP--they may allow it. Food was excellent!!

I think you made a wise choice, I have eaten at LeCellier, it was pretty good. But I have never been to Tutto, I know many people who have eaten there and said it is excellent. Next time I will definitely go there myself. Hopefully you can see these pictures of Tutto http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1919687 page 51

MORE PICS!!!

Location: Epcot World Showcase

Tutto Italiana... with mini-review.

INSIDE:

Brought to every table:

DDs meal off kids menu:

Penne Alla Panna with creme and parmesean.

DW & DD both said it was really good.

Mozzarella Sticks $6.00

and her BIRTHDAY dessert:

ADULT:

DW's food...
Sacchetti - pasta pillows filled with ricotta and mozzarella cheese and pomdoro sauce $19 -
Both my wife and son got this. My son was not impressed. My wife said our DDs food was better.

My meal:
Grigliata di Pesce con Salmoriglio - grilled prawns, striped bass, salmon $27

It was killer good!!! I was happy to see the portions were smaller.

For dessert... there was a running joke... It seemed I was always the one who picked the best dessert. Hands down, all week, everyone at the table ordered a different dessert, we all sampled each ones food and dessert, and all week, we all agreed I picked the best dessert!!!
What was my secret??? NO CHOCOLATE!!!

You see... I have this theory... After eating at almost every single TS at Disney... I have come to the conclusion that most people order a chocolate dessert. Because of that I have arrived with the assumption that if they sell THAT MUCH chocolate dessert... they will have to cut some corners somewhere. now don't get me wrong... some of the best chocolate desserts I've ever eaten were on Disney property. The wave at coral Reef is KILLER. A few others pop in my mind... but overall... I'm not impressed with the chocolate desserts at WDW. (sorry SlightlyGoofy ). I find most of them to be dry and rather tasteless. My idea is to try the ones that are NOT chocolate, and the ones that cost less. (yeah... thats different when your on the DDP...) but its my conclusion, and I was right all week.

DW ordered:

Mocha Tiramisu - mascarpone cheese, espresso coffee, savoiardi biscuits and chocolate $9.00 -
It was really good.

DS ordered:

Gianduja - Chocolate Torta - chocolate and hazelnut torte with whipped cream and raspberry sauce $10.00

It was great as well.

And I had the Zuppa Inglese - trifle cake with candied fruit, vanilla cream and meringue $9.00
I gotta tell ya... it was SINFULLY good!!!
Our server actually said he didn't like this dessert. He didn't recommend it because it was "too sweet", of course he said if I like really sweet desserts that I'd love it. he was right. It was SOOOOOO amazing.

So how good were the desserts??? This picture of my wife (which don't do her justice... ) says it all.....

She did that just for the picture. No, we're not THAT redneck here in NC!
But the funny thing was when the two girls who came in and sat down behind us saw her lick her plate and me snap the picture.
They couldn't stop laughing.
My wife demanded I explain that she didn't really lick the plate.... She merely did that for the picture.
