Hi all,
Just returned from a lovely trip. We went back to Tutto Italia after not having been in a while (6-7 years maybe). We were seated right away even though we were about 30 minutes early to our reservation. I have a food allergy (allergic to dairy) and as with all Epcot restaurants, the manager comes out to clarify what is safe/not safe for me to eat. I knew I wanted pasta and was almost 100% sure I couldn't have the meatballs that came with it prior to dining so I was prepared to eat plain spaghetti with sauce. The manager confirmed my speculations, the meatballs did have dairy, and when I asked about adding grilled chicken for a little more protein she said that she would have to check if they had any. She added that it would be a $3 extra charge if they did. I said it was okay. She returned to our table saying they had no grilled chicken so I was fine with ordering the spaghetti. My sister is a picky eater as well and also ordered penne pasta with sauce. The food was good and it came relatively quickly. The bill came later and we found that we were charged the full price for the meals on the menu. $23 for my spaghetti with sauce, and $28 for my sister's penne with sauce. While we never mentioned anything to the manager, I just thought it was a bit much to be charged for a full entree that is priced with all of the extras, but not actually having the extras. Just wanted to share my experience in case others have allergies/picky eaters.
