Hi,

And I probably got the name wrong, but how does the dining plan work at the new Italian restaurant at Epcot?

Thanks,

It's one credit on the DDP and deluxe. Works like any other restaurant. Entree, dessert, beverage and tax on DDP, appetizer included with deluxe, tip not included on either.

Are you wondering about something in particular?

If you're wondering about the family style options, there's some conflicting information on the board about whether or not it's included in the dining plan. If you want that, I'd suggest asking when you get there and have a backup preference for ordering in case you can't get it.

Nala, there was just one family style dinner at Tutto Italia last Fall. I don't think it was even on the menu last month.

But last year it was offered on the DDP. Our server told us explicitly that we could order it. We had no interest in it however.

Frankly, since the DDP no longer includes an appetizer, it makes sense to not have that on the menu so that families on the DDP aren't disapppointed.

We went there just last month and the family platter is not on the DDP. They bring you bread and vegetables at the beginning, so I'm not sure that you would miss an appy. The food was great and so was the service.

Could you be talking about the appetizer platter for two? That would not be on the DDP since it is an appetizer. It is an option on the deluxe plan. We ordered it last month on the deluxe.

Last year there was a family style meal. It was something like choose two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. Not exactly that but in the ballpark.

Thanks for the replies - I was wondering if it ran something like Buca di Beppo, with everything family style. From the reviews I've read, it sounds like my kind of restaurant, and I'll be making an ADR for our September trip - I just hope it's open then!

Nothing at all like Buca di Beppo. The servings are much smaller and the food is much more unique.

Enjoy dinner!:thumbsup2

I agree here eat there twice now, both times the food was great.

The bread and veggies are included w/ all the dinner meals...like bread used to be included at Mama Melrose. They aren't considered appetizers. This was a wonderful restaurant...great bargain for one DDP credit.
