Just returned from WDW (12/10 - 12/14). We had never eaten at Tutti Italiano and will never eat there again. It was so mediocre. The service and staff were wonderful but the food, no lie, was over priced Franco American Spaghetti.

We were on the dining plan and could have chosen anything - we ended up w/the pasta and sweet sausage.

We ate there the first week of December (Candlelight Processional Package) and absolutely loved it! The food, the service, the ambiance, everything!

DH and I echo your sentiment. Can't figure out why there's so many positive reviews......I mean I could see if just one of our menu items was iffy...but everything we ordered was way way way overcooked and mushy, the meat in our meals was gristly and gross and the sauce wasn't even from a glass jar but seemed to be the pale orange of, you're right, canned Franco American sauce! Gag me, I just can't believe so many people like the food here.

we had one of our best meals there. We're not huge pasta people so I had the steak and DH had the chicken cutlet. It was amazing, as was the service.

I can't imagine paying the prices they charge, but on the dining plan, it was a great deal!

We were there the second week of Dec. with the package and thought the same thing. I read all the reviews and was nervous about it but then I reminded myself they are just reviews. Not everyone has the same tastes and expect different things.

Over all I am getting more and more disappointed with dining at Disney. I am finding the menu selections getting smaller and duplicated at most restaurants, just presented under a different name. This past trip the food was on the bland side most of the time, for us the Italian place stood out in a good way. Flavor.

We've been there a couple of times most recently in September for lunch and our group of Italian Americans were over the moon happy with our food. Sorry you had a bad experience.

These were my observations earlier this year:

I’m not sure why, but I stopped by Tutto Italia at the Italy pavilion. It almost seems unnecessary because this restaurant is essentially a placeholder for a different flagship restaurant that will open later this year, although no one knows when.

But that restaurant -- and Tutto, too -- will be operated by the Patina Group (not a Disney production), so I figured this restaurant would give a clue as to what we might expect.

The first thing that should be noted is that there is no fettuccine Alfredo on the menu.

That would have been amusing given that the previous occupant was Alfredo d’Originale di Roma, an offshoot of the restaurant that invented the dish. Maybe the Patina people wanted to keep their menu more authentic and didn’t want to add Alfredo, which is largely an Americanized dish.

But that didn’t stop them from delivering the bread basket with a dish of olive oil, which is largely an American practice.

I started my lunch with a bowl of pasta e fagioli, the beany soup with bits of pasta blended in. It was fairly bland, but I fixed that by spooning in some of the olive oil meant for the bread.

For my entrée I had the dish with the unfortunate name stinco di maiale, which is more aromatic than it sounds. It was a massive pork shank braised into tender submission. It was quite good, and the portion was ample. In fact there was too much to finish in one seating, and at $24 I hated to waste it. (Wouldn’t it be nice if you could have doggie bags waiting for you at the front gate like purchases from gift shops so you don’t have to lug them around?)

I had also shelled out $8 for the lunch contorno, which was a braised fennel. Actually, it had to be a joke the kitchen was playing. No serious chef would have sent out a hunk of raw fennel with some melted cheese on top.

Service, which, like most of the pavilion restaurants, is proffered by natives of the sponsoring country, was affable but not very attentive. The most authentic part of the dining experience!

The atmosphere of Tutto Italia is boisterous. The main dining room is a huge space that wants to look elegant but just can’t, not when it’s filled with ill-clothed tourists – not a fault of the restaurant.

Still, it would be nice if the permanent restaurant that will eventually take over could make some improvements on the experience.

Sorry you didnt like it, DH and I have dined there twice and find the food to be fantastic! I am 100% Italian and didnt order the standard pasta and red sauce, instead I went for the bucatini and the pumpkin raviolis....awesome food from apps to dessert

We ate there and my husband commented that the lasagne tasted like Chef Boyardee...needless to say we won't be eating there again. The service was also pretty poor.

My DH and I just had lunch there on Thursday - December 11th. The food was great and the service was excellent. We always have lunch there every time we go to Epcot - dinner is always Le Cellier - we love that place!

Maybe that is the key...order something different...pumpkin raviolis sound yummy.

Hubby and I ate there a few nights ago. I didn't think it was anything to write home about. He got the Cannelloni al Forno and I got the Bucatini Gratinati. His was better than mine, but neither were worth the price IMO.

We went there for our anniversary last year, and it was wonderful. I'm a picky Italian, but our food was very good and authentic. We ordered the meatballs for app, fennel roasted pork loin and pollo al mattone for entree, and gelati for dessert.

I guess their "standard" pasta isn't as great, but everything else was wonderful.

we agree 100%. Definitely not worth the $127(not including tip) for 2 adult and 2 childrens meals. The menu was different than I viewed on allears. They have eliminated the lump crab meat selection.

We ate at Tutto Italia last Feb and loved it! We ate there last week and thought it was mediocre. Our waiter was humorless, the meal took forever to arrive, and the meals themselves weren't terribly special (for the price you're paying). The menu did change since Feb - but there were still nice selections to choose from. But no one left raving about the meal. (We were able to snag the ADR that day - and there were several empty table in the restaurant as we ate.)

As much as we loved it the first time - this time, not so much. I don't think we'll go back to that one.

I agree! It's extremely underwhelming, subpar food, snotty servers and ridiculously noisy and unorganized.

We've actually had better meals at Olive Garden, Tiger

i was there last week and had the same dish.. pasta and sweet sausage... i thought it was pretty good... except the dish was kinda small. I was hoping for more pasta at $28. DDP also.

I think you're right. The key is in what you order. I've never been to Tutto Italia but I couldn't imagine order plain old pasta. Of course, you're going to find it overpriced. It's like going to a fine steakhouse and ordering the $20 cheeseburger. Why not just eat somewhere else in the first place instead of setting yourself up for disappointment?

I actually am quite excited about this restaurant. It seems quite authentic and the photos I have seen look amazing.

We ate there last week and loved it. Yes it was very pricey but we were very happy with our meal. I had the veal and it was delicious. DH had the lasagna and he really enjoyed it. He is very particualr about his Italian food and he liked this place.
