Since we were kids, the one thing my mum has always got mad and me and my sisters for, is being late out of somewhere if she picked us up. So if we went to a friend's house and she picked us up, if we were late to meet her, or she called to say she was there but we didnt answer....BAM....GROUNDED!
Yesterday my mum asked me to pick her up from an xmas party. I'd been driving home (for eight hours) that day, so she promised it would be no later than 11. At 11:30 she called me to come and get her.....
So I did, pulled up outside...no sign of her....called her phone....no answer, called and called and called, no answer. I couldn't go inside because I was illegally parked and dressed like a slob anyway!
Eventually she called me....she'd be out in a minute....
ten minutes later she appeared! I WAS MAAAADDDDDDDD....
Oh how the tables have turned....I took much pleasure in reminding her what she would have done to me if she'd been the one picking me up!
