Hi guys....I bought this tussy mussy ages ago...before I realized I needed to wear gold jewelry and a tiara and match my dress. There is gold embroidery on my dress, a gold tiara, and gold earrings and my engagement ring is platinum and sapphires (I know it doesn't match but I hadn't thought about all of this before)

What should I do with this tussy mussy? They don't make gold ones and I think that would be too much anyway. Should I just try to sell it on ebay or put my bouquet in it anyway?

You could use it as a gift for any special participant in your wedding, filled with flowers from the wedding. They do make brass tussie mussies... some of them are very pretty! I've seen quite a few, but I don't know if you're headed toward something more contemporary like the one pictured or something Victorian. Both are available. ~Ev :)

Thank you sooooooo much ev!!! You are so helpful, I had no idea I could get a brass one :goodvibes

I've been looking for hours and these are the only ones that really appealed to me...what do you think Ev or any of you that happen to see this? It is really hard finding decent looking gold toned tussie mussies, believe me!

Does #1 have a stand that you can get to go with it? We had tussie mussies for Kate's bridesmaids and it was great to be able to display them at the reception. It was like having 5 instant arrangements right there, and freed up their hands when they were ready to mingle and dance. It's also a nice way to dry your bouquet after, because you have something to stand it in. If #1 has a stand, I vote for it. Are these all 7" tussie mussies, or is #3 a 5"? You wouldn't be able to put a bridal bouquet in a 5" tussie mussie... the TM would be too small. TM #3 looks like it might be smaller. More info, please. :) ~Ev

Actually #3 is the longest it is 7.5 inches long the other 2 or 7 inch. Rosie told me that Diameter is the most important thing for me to take into consideration. None of them have stands, I didn't like any of the styles that had them and once the wedding is over I wont be messing with it anyway since I'm an intimate. I'll just lay it down and forget about it

#2 and #3 are 3" wide #1 is 4" wide

Rosie said that most bridal tussie mussies are 3" and bridesmaids are
1 1/2

Here's another question I have....Rosie said that it is easiest for them to arrange bouquets in tussie mussies that have pins. #2 and 3 have them but #1 doesn't. How do they secure the flowers in tussies like #1?

The ones for Kate's bridesmaids were almost identical to #1 in style, except they had a stand and were in silver. They were made on the white-handled oasis balls and then the handles were wrapped with the green floral tape to make them fat enough to fit snuggly in the tussie mussies. That way, they had the water for the oasis, but it had no chance to spill. Also, the bouquet could be fuller because it could make a full ball without having to place all the stems inside the tussie mussie itself. However, the length needed to be 7" or more to have a good balance with the weight at the top. Here's a pic of how full hers looked when done with the oasis ball:

When you use the pin and insert the flowers directly in the tussie mussie, you are more limited in how many flowers can be used, because only a certain number of stems will fit, especially when you are working with sturdy roses. ~Ev
