WE have an 8:20 Tusker House Reservation. If we got there before 8- would they let us in early? What time have they been letting people in to normal operating hour days?

We don't have fast pass that morning so looking to maybe be in the park before RD so we can get to the Safari before the line gets too long.

Yes! If you get there at 7:45, they will let you in with everyone else that has an pre-open ressie. When you get to AK, go to the right and you will see a line for ressie's. Anyone with pre-open ressie's between 8-8:20 are let in at 7:45. You can go ahead and check in at Tusker House too. Ressie's between 8-8:20 are first come first served so that is a benefit. There is a rope drop just outside TH and the first ride straight ahead is KS. If you can get out of TH by 8:55, you should be in great position for getting onto KS before it get's too crowded.

2) Anyone with a 9:20am an ADR or earlier can get in at 7:45.
3) Through a reciprocal agreement with Disney-Tokyo, Japanese can get in at 7:45am using an ADR at 10:00am or earlier

My daughter and her DH had an 8:40am ADR last week and they were not able to get in until 8:15.
They let the ones with a ressie from 8-8:20 in at 7:45 then held anyone with a later ressie back.
They were let in at 8:15 with anyone that had an 8:25-8:45 ressie.
Wonder if this is something they are trialing or if it is something new.
This was on Thursday, Oct 8th.

We were there on Oct. 3rd- Our ADR was for 8:40. We were allowed in early- before 8am. We were seated around 8:15. I guess it depends on who is working at the gates that day.

I was thinking maybe they are trialing something new.
I know when we were there last September, they had a heated argument between 2 patrons and the CM outside TH. Seems that while they were waiting in line outside AK, these 2 patrons struck up a conversation about their ressie time. When they got to TH, the gentleman with an 8:05 ressie was 5-6 families behind the gentleman with an 8:25 ressie. He went to the CM in front of that gentleman with the 8:25 ressie and explained that his ressie was before his and felt that he and his family should be sat first. The CM explained that everyone would be sat, no problem and that it is first come first serve at the podium. This did not sit well with this gentleman, he demanded a manager and made a pretty big stink about it. We were taken in by then so not sure how it all worked out but it was not a pretty sight.
DH and I both looked at each other and said, I bet something changes before long. So when my DD told me about her experience on the 8th, I figured maybe

They did take people before us that came after us to the podium- I just thought they had earlier ADR times. It was just nice to get in the park and take some pics with it being quiet on way to TH. But they did let us in way before our ADR time so that was great!
