 I'm needing one character breakfast and can't decide between the three. Chip n Dale are the goal but they also love Alice and Mickey. Princesses are not necessary.

You dont need any advice? I'll give it just in case, Lol! :lmao: Chip & Dale arent at any of the 3 restaurants you indicated: 1900, cape, tusker. I'd go with Tusker House, you'd get mickey, donald, daisy, goofy & pluto. LOVE the food there. HUGE selection! Cape May is also great thou....Minnie, Goofy, & Donald. :thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Love advice!

Bugger, my Passporter says Chip n Dale are Cape May. Cape May is OUT!

Tusker is now the front runner. But 1900 looks good too. :upsidedow I hate the time wasted traveling from resorts to parks. :hyper:

Pluto is not at TH, at least he wasn't last year. It was Donald outside, Mickey, Goofy and Daisy came to the tables, all in their safari outfits.

We really liked both TH and 1900 PF, but I would give the nod to 1900 PF because we really like the interaction with the face characters. Mary Poppins was very nice and told my girlfriend and I to give her a call when we have kids. Alice and the Mad Hatter were also a lot of fun with some really great interactions. In the end, you can't really go wrong with either.

If you are looking for Chip and Dale, one option is Garden Grill in EC. The food is ok, nothing special, but the character interaction with Chip, Dale, Pluto and Farmer Mickey was really great. It is a smaller restaurant that rotates around scenes from Living With The Land, and due to its shape and size it is not uncommon for the characters to come around 2, 3 or 4 times. :thumbsup2

We really like the breakfast at TH. We had a much better experience than at Cape May Cafe. The food was more diverse and the characters were more fun. It can get loud though. We also like being in the park rather than a hotel.

In order:

Cape May - love the layout and relaxed atmosphere
1900 Park Faire - it's big and spread out, but characters are diverse and Mad Hatter is a real hoot!
Tusker House - most boring characters, no real interaction, food alright, because they serve lunch, you don't get as much time for breakfast as you would at the other two with a later reservation. But, you can get a plate of lunch if you are there for the crossover.

In a perfect world I could combine 1900's food and characters with TH's location. :cloud9:

Thanks all for the insights. :thumbsup2

The first time we did Tusker we met Donald, Mickey, Pluto and Minnie. We did it again in June 2009 and saw Donald, Mickey, Daisy and Goofy. In December 2009 we met Donald, Mickey, Minnie and Goofy.

Characters are never guaranteed and seem to rotate based upon availability.

I really like TH and 1900, but very different types of food. I don't think, you will be disappointed in either choice.

:thanks: Any of the above would be great.

That's good to know. Thank you. I love TH's location. :thumbsup2

We were just at TH and it was as previously posted: Donald outside with Mickey, Goofy and Daisy inside. We were really disappointed in this buffet, but I read reviews where folks love it. And we loved our character breakfast at Cape May, so go figure;)

I think the suggestion of the Garden Grill, since it is plated rather than buffet and has the characters you want, is the best one.

Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary has Chip & Dale - along with Mickey, Minnie & Pluto. I haven't had breakfast there in over 15 years, but it's one of our favorite character dinners :goodvibes

TH lunch is my favorite buffet in WDW (and I'm very picky).;)

I thought about Garden Grill but the menu looks terrible- too many glazes and sauces but I was thinking about it as Chip n Dale are there fore sure.

We did CMs for dinner in 2007 and it had some of the worst food of the trip. Ironically the character interaction was superb. :upsidedow

I think Chip and Dale are no longer at Chef Mickey's. I believe the only character meal that has Chip and Dale is the Garden Grill at Epcot. There is also a nightly campfire sing along at the Fort Wilderness resort/campground that features Chip and Dale.

That's what I thought, also, we have never seen Chip and Dale at CM's, but we have only been at breakfast, so we might have missed them.

We had Chip & Dale, Minnie, Goofy and Donald at the Cape May last time we were there.

We also dined at 1900 Park Fare and had Pooh, Tigger, Mad Hatter and Alice in Wonderland.

I'm the world's biggest Cape May fan so I would choose Cape May hands down. I also really like 1900 Park Fare so that would be my second choice.

I hated Garden Grill. Worst meal I had ever had in WDW. Would never go back there. So not worth the cost!

Chip and Dale are no longer at Cape May. Just Goofy, Donald and Minnie now.

1900 Park Fare is generally still Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins, Alice and Mad Hatter.

But with any of the character meals - characters can change when necessary.
