Tusker House or Boma for dinner?

And how late would TH take dinner seatings? We are going to AK on a night when they have EMH till 8 and would like a special dinner...so should we leave a bit before closing and go to AKL (which I know the kids would love) or try to get the latest possible seating for dinner at TH? DH and I ate at Jiko on our last trip but have never been to Boma or TH. DS is a picky eater and DD is not. Thanks.

I would do Boma. AKL is such a cool place to explore and Boma has the typicaly buffet kids section so no problem for picky eaters!

I think Tusker House has a better ambiance than Boma....by far! It is also more spread out and the line doesn't seem as long there!

Our family LOVES Boma--- it is one of our "must-dos" each trip. We arrive early to get a drink at the bar, sit by their fire pit and wander outside to see the animals. Their resort gift shop is the most unique on property too. The food is unique yet delicious. I am an adventurous eater but my husband is PICKY- and we both adore this restaurant. Good luck choosing and have fun!!!

Mu suggestion would be to do Boma. I do really like both but there is a bit more at Boma and I love the resort.

When I do Tusker House I do lunch. The food is almost identical but the price is lower. If I am paying dinner price for a buffet I go to Boma.

Thanks, everyone! Based on the input and our review of the menus (Boma looks like there is much more to it), we have a 7:25 p.m. ADR at Boma. We've got our own car so we will plan to leave AK by 6:45 (which means we'll be out of there at 7). Just as well since they close at 8 and that way we won't get stuck in the exit crowds (we don't mind missing the parade as we're not "parade" types and if we do want to catch it, they have it earlier in the day as well). From what I recall, AKL is pretty close to the park, so we should have time to get there and won't be too tired to look around afterwards. Also, the next day is our Sea World day so it will be lower-key in the a.m. Yay! I'm SO excited to try Boma! (And even the picky DS loves buffets!)
