i was just looking at the breakfast menu and wondering if it changed recently- I sort of remember a ham carving station when I made the reservation but I don’t see that now?

Also I noticed “beef bobotie” on the menu- has anyone had it? Can you please tell me about it?

We are paying out of pocket and trying to figure out if it will be worth it to us- we have never been but I’ve always heard rave reviews.

Thanks!!

Not sure about the ham carving station, they serve a bobotie at Boma which may be similar. Bobotie is a well-known South African dish consisting of spiced minced meat baked with an egg-based topping.
The version at Boma is good, a little bit unusual and tasty.:)

Hmm..They did offer a bone-in ham carving station and a corn beef hash dish that I liked. They are both absent from the Disney website menu. I also checked the menu on "Touring Plans" and it wasn't on there either. We were planning on eating there again on our next visit. Touring Plans says their menu was updated in July 2017. Maybe someone who has been there recently can confirm.

Ok I just found an older menu from earlier this year and the current menu has a few more omissions- missing the plantains and coconut sweet potato casserole!!

I was excited to do this for the standard breakfast fare and some new dishes we’ve never had- but now it mostly looks like eggs, potatoes, and waffles?

Gah!!! Someone please tell me I’m wrong!!!

Ok now I can’t get the TH menu online at all. Stitch are the page. Hopefully it’s just another website glitch and the regular menu (or something similar) will show up soon....

They had the carved ham for breakfast on Friday, 9/22. It was a great buffet. Slow service, but the food was good. They offered quite a few options that weren't just your normal breakfast items. We did have plantains. I don't remember a coconut sweet potato dish, though.

That is great news

I am worried it is not showing up on the menu though (?)

Menus change, all of the time. That was over a month ago. You never know! It was a very nice, stress-free way to meet some of the characters and I enjoyed the food. I hope they have the ham, when you visit. The carving station was located all the way to the right, when entering the room with the buffet. I know someone at our table didn't see it on the first two tries. Our meal was for a later breakfast, so they were bringing out lunch foods, too. The ham switched over to salmon by 11:30 or so. It looked like they were going to carve on the ham until it was gone, but not replace it. They put the breakfast foods at the center station, during this time, and kept replenishing it.

So they kept breakfast foods around till 11:30? When did they start bringing lunch out? We want a early lunch reservation but no breakfast food

I believe that they start charging for lunch at 11am. I would assume lunch food starts coming out at that point. Some breakfast foods were still out and being replenished when we left at around 11:30 or so. The main buffet was all lunch food by that point. The breakfast foods were only located at the center station where the desserts and breads are, after they started lunch service.
