Tusker House Lunch with Characters...worth changing ADR list for?

I thought I'd more or less nailed down our ADR choices, and then I read about the Tusker House Lunch changing to extend the Safari with Donald.

Should I drop Boma for dinner for the Tusker House Lunch? Those seem the most similar, but of course, I could drop something else, like lunch at Marrakesh or a late dinner at Garden Grill (Only time I could get, and I wasn't crazy about it). How hard is it to meet and greet the characters in Safari Garb in the park?
How similar are the food choice and quality between Tusker and Boma?

I do kind of have an impression that Boma has better quality and variety, and that the AKL is something to see in and of itself. We'll have at least three other character meals, so I feel it may be good to have some non-character ones too.

What are your plans currently for the AK day? If you are doing boma that night I would drop it and do tusker house. I wouldn't do both meals. I personally like to plan my meals based on where I am though. Boma at night makes for a very long day after aK so for us a lunch would work much better.

It might help to see your plan though.

Dead easy to meet the characters at Camp Minnie-Mickey. Got some fabulous pics there myself!

Yes, we planned to be in AK and head to Boma after the park. We planned to just have something light for breakfast most days. The day we arrive we get in too late to plan a TS meal and I didn't like the choices at DHS, so we doubled up some days. We weren't planning on Park Hoppers.

So these are the ADrs I've made:
Epcot Day
Marrakesh (lunch)
Akershus (Dinner)

AK Day
Tusker (lunch)
Boma (dinner)

DHS Day
Kona (possibly do OOP...dropping DD at Neverland Club)

MK Day
CP (Breakfast pre-park open)
1900 Park Fare (Dinner probably will drop as people seem to say the food isn't good)

Epcot
Chefs de France (lunch)
GG (7:30 adr, could be too late of a time for us)

Anyway, thanks for the opinions!

I know for us back to back buffet meals would be way too much food. We've eaten at both Tusker house and Boma and both are excellent. Since AK is the earliest park to close I would suggest a lighter meal at AK for lunch and Boma for supper near or after park closing.

I personally wouldn't do both especially on the same day. I'd either do yak and yeti and boma or I'd do tusker house and something else for dinner after park closes.

They are too similar to me.

Who are the other characters for lunch besides Pooh? We have Crysal palace in mind for Pooh but would consider this instead... anyone know?

Also - is this covered with DDP?

Is Pooh coming to Tusker House? Unless, something's changed, it's Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey.

Yes, it's on the DDP.:goodvibes

Tusker House has character breakfast with Donald and friends but was not aware for lunch guess will find out in 9 days as we are going for a late lunch there... food is very good and you will have time with safari garb characters in there... we also have enjoyed dinner there...Boma's is also very good and is all kind of foods..:thumbsup2 garden Grill is just OK and characters walk around in farmer garb... is served family style:thumbsup2

I am booking for nov12-20 and in dining reservation systems, tusker house shows character lunch - is this an error in the system and it really isn't starting until dec 4 or are they testing it out early?

Pooh is not at Tusker House, lunch will be the same as breakfast- Donald, Daisy, Mickey, Goofy

Personally I would keep your Boma reservation, see the characters in the park for pics/autographs, and eat at Flaming Tree BBQ for lunch. You can use one of your qs meals and it's probably one of the best out of all the parks in regard to quality and quantity. The other cool thing about Boma is that after your meal you can possibly catch a story teller outside by the firepit and use the night vision goggles to see some of the animals. Plus AKL is one of the most amazing resorts to visit at Christmas :)

Are they changing camp mickey?
These characters can't be two places at once.
