Tusker House kids selections

hello!
I booked a ROL dining package at Tusker House simply because I wanted the ROL option. However, looking at the menu, I don't see many of the typical kids items that are usually at buffets listed (chicken nuggets, fruit salad, etc).
Can anyone provide feedback on the kids' selections there? As of now there's nothing listed that my husband or kids would eat unfortunately.
Also has anyone done ROL without the package? Would I have to wait for a long time to get into the showing without it?
Thanks!

I'm a picky eater and have gone to TH for breakfast and lunch. It was years ago now so I don't recall what I ate. Wait, I booked a lunch because it was the only place to get a peanut butter sandwich. Make your own, not those horrible uncrustables. I didn't think I could survive 14 nights without PB!

I booked breakfast but it will probably be rotating over to lunch items (a later breakfast reservation) with a RoL dining package. Maybe that would work better for your family?

Thanks! Since it will be in the summer heat we typically sleep late and swim all day then hit the parks late. That's why I went with dinner. I'll have to look into possibly doing breakfast then coming back that night.

They usually have mac and cheese, fruit, corn dogs. My DS9 used to be a very picky eater and between pita bread, salad, chicken and mac and cheese, we always found him plenty to eat.

We were just there in December. I know they had mac and cheese and corn dogs. My kids also ate chicken and roasted carrots and fruit. They definitely had a few different types of bread.

I would go for park open if you can get some of the rides done in the first hour or two, have lunch or a late breakfast. Then head back to the room if you feel you need to.

With Pandora opening, you will want to be there early if you want to ride one of the new rides. You can only FP one as they are Tiered together. Also a good time to do Safari.

Not sure how old your children are but when I took my nieces they would sleep in the stroller since I like going during Free Dining. They were 4 or 5 each trip (they each went on their own for 2 trips). I gave up going back to the resort as my niece would always fall asleep on the bus ride back, or not until I gave up and decided to go back to the park and then she would fall asleep on the bus back to the park.

Thanks! They are 5 and 6. Five year old will nap in the stroller but six year old will not. However since it's the summer it's more me needing a break from the heat and sun than them:)
I do my fastpasses next week and am debating going 2 AK days now or trying to get there super early...decisions decisions :)

Nemo: The Musical is a great air conditioned break.

Maybe because I'm so allergic to smoke, I just stay in the parks all day from open to close or even later. Leaving the park is where I have the most trouble. I did the return to the resort maybe twice the first year and after that I gave up, it just wasn't worth the wasted park time to have a child fall asleep on the bus. They use to have so many more evening EMH that I would tell my nieces that if they wanted to ride their favorite ride without a huge line up they needed to have a nap so they could stay up late and have fun.

Off topic and I apologize, but I am totally confused and curious. What does being allergic to smoke have to do with staying in the parks all day?

If I leave when everyone else does 30 min before park close - 20 min or so past park close, it's super crowded. People light up as soon as they exit the park, in a crowd I can't see where it's coming from and have had way too many asthma attacks trying to leave when most people leave. I now either leave a good hour before the parks close or I stay until there are hardly anybody in the park. It's much more safer for me to wait until a good half hour or so after the parks close.

As you can see in my signature, I use to go to WDW every year but the last trip posted was my last for quite some time. I had a horrible time the last trip and they moved us to another resort after having multiple asthma attacks in just a few hours of being at Pop. I love the resort but I will never go back there. I'm hoping this trip will be better but at least the niece I am taking is a teenager this time.
