Tusker House for early entry?

We will be at WDW the week Pandora opens. Is it worth it to get a Tusker House reservation to get in the gates earlier or no? Does it have a benefit like BOG does at MK?

It doesn't really have much benefit as of now IMO, but I'm not sure if that is expected to change when Pandora opens. Right now there isn't much that really needs a FP here so you can easily use your FP selections and still add more when you are done to avoid long lines. EE also has a single rider line option. If you wanted to use it to get to Pandora before the crowd and you already planned on a breakfast it can't hurt.

I wouldn't think it would give as much of a benefit since Tusker House is back by the safari and Pandora is up where the old Camp Minnie & Mickey used to be. The benefit with BOG is it gets you back into Fantasyland, near where 7DMT is. But it really depends on how quickly you can get through your meal at TH and where they might corral people exiting TH. Will they let you go from TH up to a rope at the entrance to Pandora before rope drop, or will they hold you back at TH? The distance from Tusker House to Pandora is about the same, or maybe even longer, than from the front gates to Pandora. So if they hold you at TH after you are done, then you would actually be at a disadvantage over the front gate crowd.

I managed to score a Tusker House res for 8:15 for our last day (park opens at 9), I suppose I will keep it and reassess after it opens.

What time do they let you head back to Tusker House for a Pre-park opening breakfast? Does it depend on the time of your reservation? Mine is for 8:20am. At Be Our Guest they let everyone in at the same time even if you reservation isn't right at 8:00am. I'm hoping the same is true for Tusker House. If there is another entrance to Pandora near the Lion King show I'm thinking the breakfast could be an advantage.

Yes, there CAN be a PPO advantage at TH like at BoG. The difference is...with TH, you'd better come hungry. It's a buffet, so everyone who enters the door pays full price for breakfast, unlike at BoG where you can simply order a cup of coffee, a soft drink, or a cupcake.

we like to get in the park early and be done when it gets hot so being already back in africal at rope drop is great for us.

I really don't see that there much need for a PPO ressie in AK unless you enjoy walking through the park with no one there, we like that, we also like TH breakfast. There will be some pent up demand for Pandora initially but other than that I don't think it will provide the same benefit as BOG

My husband and I did a Ppo Tusker House breakfast and even with eating quickly and leaving before all the characters came around, we got out about the same time as rope drop people were let in.
