I haven't been to Disney since 2006, and have heard that it's no longer Donalds Breakfastasaurus, but now Donalds safarri at Tusker House? What kind of meal have you had there for breakfast? Who are the characters, and did you like it?? Thanks!

I will be going there on monday and can give a full report. There are pictures on allears it looks like a good variety.

The characters are Donald, Daisy, Goofy and Mickey, but subject to change.

I was there last Monday,Nov. 26th. The wait with an ADR was LONG but the food was EXCELLENT!!! The characters are Donald, Daisy, Mickey and Goofy...all in safari attire. We got lots of pics!! I recommend it especially later as they will have any kinks worked out such as the long wait....we did get lunch in addition to breakfast cuz we were there for the turnover!

Well, our ADR was at 10:30 but we weren't seated until 11. We had bfast out for 20 minutes or so and then out came lunch!! They actually told us that this would happen and to feel free to eat from the lunch buffet. We all thought it was GREAT!!

We were there on their 2nd or 3rd day open. It's got african style buffet options (similar to Boma), but there are plenty of traditional breakfast items as well (scrambled eggs, bacon, etc.)

The characters are Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and I think Minnie and Mickey. My son is a big Donald/Goofy fan, so that's who we paid attention to.

I liked it.

That just started last month. I want to try breakfast there next year, from what I've heard so far, it sounds pretty good.

I was just there on Monday, the food is good, but the wait is long - I actually spoke with the restaurant manager and they anticipated people to be there on average 1 hour but people are enjoying the food so much they are staying 1.5 hours on average which is causing the delays. They are changing their ADR's to seat less tables during future visits since they have see the increase in time people are there to lessen people's frustration.

I think it was worth the wait and would go back again.

We really enjoyed the Tusker House breakfast. Food was great and so was the character interaction. Mickey, Goofy, Donald and Daisy in their safari attire. I did think trying to sell pictures was lame ... but we just said no.

I went on Saturday, 12/1, at 10:05. There were lots of yummy options for food, including a great juice. I asked my server, and she confirmed that it's the same juice that's served at Boma for breakfast. Donald Duck, Daisy, Mickey, and Goofy, i think, were the characters there. The server brought my check around 11:00, and I thought maybe she was trying to encourage me to finish, since lunch starts at 11:30. However, I told her that I still wanted a little more and she told me to take my time. There were still plenty of fresh breakfast offerings at the buffet. When I left at 11:20, lots of people were still there for breakfast. When I was waiting for my seat, someone came up without ressies, but they were seated without much wait. Maybe that will change when word gets out. I thought it was very enjoyable and great food! Here's a couple photos:

We were there on the 7th for breakfast and 9:15 and really enjoyed it. The food was good and I loved the characters safari costumes. The jungle juice was delicious.

I can give two guesses as to why the waits are so long and diners are staying at their tables so long:

1. The characters seem to move VERY slowly in this restaurant. We were there about 50 minutes and no characters made it to our table.
2. They periodically do this celebration thing with dancing in the center of the restaurant. All well and good, except that the majority of the restaurant is then more or less blocked from going to or from the buffet until the 2-3 minute celebration is over.

I thought the food was similar to the old buffet with the notable exception that the pancakes are gone.
