Tusker House dinner?

We have a ADR for Tusker house dinner at 5pm, if the park closes at 6pm that day is this a bad idea? In the even that they seat us late, will we be rushed? We have eaten there many times before but for lunch...hmmm?

anyone have an experience of eating in AK right before closing time? Especially at a buffet?

Cannot speak specifically to Tusker House, but generally speaking if a Disney restaurant will seat you, they will not rush out out the door at park closing time.

We ate at Tusker post AK closing, but it was a grand gathering meal, so not sure if your question will be answered by me.

But, it was fine - they fed us, there was absolutely no rush to make us leave, and when we did leave Disney busses were waiting to take you anywhere you could go when the park is still open.

thanks! We usually do Tusker for lunch every year, but now that it has gone to a character meal we are thinking of doing dinner. We love Characters don't get me wrong, but all the feedback about Tusker house (Breakfast) being loud, and cramped makes us think that Lunch will be the same? I have heard that the characters have tight squeezes getting around the dining room area. Unless someone can give me a wonderful review? I just hope that the food is still plentiful and fresh. We love the Chicken curry, basmati rice, pita bread, Seafood stew, and samosas!!! MMMMMM LOVE Tusker House!
