Can someone confirm that the dinner at Tusker House is with characters? We have a reservation for our upcoming trip and keep finding conflicting information.

If characters are there for dinner, is this a meal you would recommend for 5-year-olds and a 2-year-old?

Thanks!

Yes, it's with characters; it's not a buffet at the moment, though. It's a family-style meal.

I'm actually considering cancelling our booking for later this month (I have a four-year-old and an 19-month-old). It seems that if you don't get lucky with a table near the "front" - where the characters parade through - your view can be very limited, and, of course, the kids can't really get close to them.

Thanks for the info! That's an interesting point about the characters.

We had a late meal (one of two families remaining when we left) in August and were seated in a back/side room. The characters came through quite frequently and the food was good.

My experience in August was that each character would make it a point to visit every table at a distance after they paraded through, so nobody was left out or missed any characters. I have to say, though nobody asked, that Chef Mickey's socially distanced interaction was far superior to Tusker House. Food at both served family style was surprisingly quite good.

I agree. We ate at both in August and Chef Mickey's was the winner for character interaction, despite distancing.
