I've booked Tusker House breakfast for 9.15am - anyone know what time we would need to get there?? I know the park opens from 9am but it says to allow 15 mins to walk to the restaurant and I can imagine there being a MASSIVE queue to get in. I don't want people to be upset if they think I'm trying to jump the queue but at the same time, don't want to be on the last minute getting there :$

They won't let you in before park opening but they being general entry about 8.50/8.45 most days and you can walk up as far as the tree of life. On that basis I would try to be there about 8.30 to 8.40 and you will be fine :thumbsup2

On another thought - can you get an earlier reservation? With a 9.15am you will miss the quietest hour in the park at least.

Unfortunately not. I was lucky to get that. I only decided last min to do that character breakfast and got a time someone else had just cancelled. I can't see us spending much time at Epcot though as it's not really our type of thing so will probably spend part of the "Epcot day" at AK. Will make sure we're there for half 8 and just hope we get to the restaurant for 9.15 - thanks for the advice! :)

I don't know if you can still do it but it may be worth queuing in the Rainforest Cafe entrance - lot less crowded and shaves around 300m off the park entrance. Tusker house is probably a 5min walk if relatively clear.

Bear in mind as well that there can be a small wait (around 10min) even with an ADR because of the photo you have taken on the way in.

OK, thanks for that! I don't mind the wait for photo to get in. I just don't want to get behind a MAJOR line of folks waiting for park to open and then have to fight my way there and be a lot later than expected. I only booked character meals with my son being Autistic. I thought this would be easier on him. I have MS as well so I could do with being there before the queues start. Now considering taking my son's Nintendo DS and getting there for 8am! Lol! Do they still sing the National Anthem when they open the park each day?? I know all US theme parks used to do it and thought that might add time on.

Thanks for the link! It says they start letting in at 8.45am so will aim to be there about 8-8.15! :)

In my experience, there is an entrance on the right for breakfast ADRs, so even if they didn't let guests in when you arrive, the CMs there have a list of names with ADRs. So even if there is a line for regular entry, if the breakfast line on the right is open, just go there and skip the line.

I don't see the need of getting there before 8:45 since at that time you will be allowed to enter the park, through the regular line, or through the breakfast line.

Arriving any sooner will just let you wait with the crowd, without being allowed through the breakfast line (too early, even though you never know with CMs)

so if you arrive at 8:30 try the breakfast line on the right. But I think it's quite early for a 9:15 ADR

Will do, thanks. Am also thinking how long it may take me to walk as we're not fast walkers. I have MS which slows me down and my son finds it hard in places like that because he takes so much of the tiniest details in at once (that's the Autism for you!) that he will often have to stop a moment or two and get his head together. Can be a little frustrating at times but that's life :)

They have moved the line for breakfast to the left now! (Or they had in July)
