Tusker House Breakfast - 8:05 or 9:35am

We are looking to go to Tusker House on a day AK opens at 9:00am, end of October. I originally booked a ressie at 8:05. But, in doing some planning, I ended up booking the Pirates and Pals Fireworks cruise the night before. We are not used to staying up late (last year at Disney we never saw the fireworks). So, I don't think that we would be able to get up and about for the 8:05 reservation (we are staying at the Wilderness Lodge, if that matters). I have been checking daily for a late reservation, ideally the latest, but a 9:35 just came up. The 9:35 wouldn't let us do much in the park before having to be at Tusker House, but I think it would work better schedule wise. I am just worried that I will regret giving up the 8am one. Any insight?

Only you know your family best. I personally loved having a 805am ressie at Tusker. We had plenty of time to eat, meet the characters, and head out for the safari ride before the park opened. However, I feel your pain. One time i cancelled an 805am ressie at Crystal Palace cause i was too tired to get up. We were up late the night before cause of EMH hours. As I said, you know best. Im sure the 935am ressie would work best and you will still have a wonderful day at AK.

I also have an 8:05 ADR, which I was nervous about because we will be out late that night at MNSSHP. But I decided to keep it because so many people have raved about getting into the park early for pics and then being near the safari for quick access. You'd still have time to grab FP's at the 9:35 ADR time so it may not be too bad.

There ended up being a 8:35 ADR (I can't believe two opened up on the day I wanted), so I split the difference and took that one. It gives us a little more time in the morning, but still gets us in a little early. I know we won't make rope drop, but I think it will work a little better.
