Tusker House and Yak and Yeti Same Day?

Hi all!

I've been gathering great advice from these forums for months. Decided to create a log in and chime in with a question!

Our last day in the parks will be spent at AK. We have the DxDDP, and (according to my plan right now) will have enough credits left for 2 table service meals that day. There are 4 of us, two Disney kids (who are both adventurous eaters).

When we get done at the park we need to go back to the hotel and pack, so I want to keep both meals at the parks (I briefly considered Sanaa but I think its too much that last day). I had been planning for Flame Tree lunch and Tusker House dinner, but now I was wondering about using those credits for Tusker House "brunch" and Yak and Yeti for dinner. Are they too similar? I realize two TS meals will make for a slower day, but after 6 straight days at the parks, that may not be a bad thing.

Advise me, o wise ones!

I don't think they are similar at all! I would just make sure you space them out far enough. We use TS meals as break times, so 2 in a day isn't too much for us, but we do try to get them as far apart as possible so that we will be hungry for the 2nd meal!

We did the same thing when we were there last year. I think we had a 10am or so Tusker House reservation and a 5:30ish dinner reservation. The meals were entirely different - I just couldn't decide which one I wanted more so we kept both. It was later in the trip for us as well so having 2 sit downs wasn't bad.

Not similar at all. Tusker House buffet offers all different kinds of foods. Yak and Yeti is "Americanized" Asian food. Both are solid and worth doing if you have the credits.

We're trying Tusker House for the first time next month, too. It's character for all 3 meals.

When I did the DxDDP I think I did Sanaa dinner, TH breakfast, Y&Y dinner (same day as TH), Boma breakfast next morning back to back to back. There is enough variety in choice between them that it doesn't feel like your'e eating at the same place. They are all so good and I love those flavors.
