Tuscan Hills, anyone stay there and how was it ?

I'm looking at booking a villa here and was wondering if anyone stayed in that community before. Did a search but not much turned up. How's the location for driving to disney and proximity to restaurants ?

I know it's newer but nobody has stayed there ? How about close to Tuscan Hills ? How's the drive to Disney, how long am I looking realistically ? What's closeby, Wal-mart etc... ?

Is it Tuscan Ridge on the map? Did a google... it turns up Davenport for that resort. If it's Davenport I think it's a little farther out, the map shows Wal-Marts too! hehe

You should get a good deal if it's farther out there hopefully!

Tuscan Hills is 1 1/2 miles south of the junction of 192/27 and is a fairly new development that isn't quite finished .As far as restaurants go you have a Chilis at Champions gate not far away , a Beef O brady's , a place called The Pub , a brilliant restaurant used by many locals called Manny's chophouse dow near Haines City as well as several fast food type places and take outs nearby .There is a very good Indian just a little north by Polo Park and a great family restaurant called Randys a little further on again.Depending on when you are thinking of going there may be an Applebees just by the Publix at Sandmine Road as they are building it now.Also by Publix there is another Indian eatery ,and a great quiznos for a snack plus a new place that was being got rerady at the beginning of this month .It is a short jaunt to 192 and all that has to offer but jyst past Lindfields you will find a great diner called JT'S and opposite a fantastic little Italian called Brunos .It is not out in the wilds as Davenport is a very large area and it will take you 15 mins to get to the WDW area and as I posted on your other thread you can use Sherberth or the newer West entrance .

Am speaking at this moment on MSN to a neighbour of mine on Lake Davenport Estates who tells me the new road -that runs from 192 -parallel to 27 going south and is called westside blvd is now open so from Florence Villa Grove Road you can head East until you hit the road then turn north and you will be at 192 where you can choose to go straight across or head east to Sherberth .It means you will not have to negotiate the nasty bend coming from 192 onto 27 south

Wow that's great. Thanks so much for all the info. I can't wait to go. We'll be there Feb. 1st. I've booked the Villa so now I can look into other stuff. Thanks again JANNYANS.

Oh and I think I got a good deal. Brand new 4 bdrm for $700 including tax and pool heat. Nice big house too (3300 square ft). It'll be our first visit to Disney as adults and first time renting a villa, hope all goes well. The owners seem nice and helpful. I have verified they are the owners and the house is indeed there on the polk county site. Haven't sent my payment yet but should be soon.

I found it on FabVillas.com and sent out a general enquiry to owners of 4 bdrm homes. I specified what I wanted and the price I wanted to pay. Got many replies back and sorted through them.
