My 4 y.o. DS and 5 y.o. DD had a good time with Crush on our most recent trip. BUT ... DS has a speech delay and does not communicate well. It was too cute because his sis would always explain what he said. When Crush realized that DS's name was "Woody" he went back and got Buzz, asking him if they were friends. DD is quite chatty and he asked her if she's her brother's spokesperson.

So then he asks for the parents and I was a little over-excited. When he asked my name I said, "Hi! Rebecca", so he continued to refer to me as "Hi-Rebecca".

The kids were excited to chat with Turtle this time - last time we weren't so lucky. How did your conversations go?

Actually, the only thing I remember is losing dd6! The kids were in the front, closest to the exit, and we ended up in the back, on the opposite side of the room. As soon as it was over, they opened the doors, and the kids were gone - found a very scared dd in the care of another mom.

DD asked if he had been to the bermuda triangle. He was very cute in his answer! "Dude, have you heard about that place? Dude, I would never go there!"

My DD asked him if he was born with his shell(I was impressed she came up with a good question on the spot!). Her name is Isabella, so Crush called her Isa-to-the-bella! To this day, if I call her that, I will get a smile.

I don't remember what my dd asked, but I remember sitting there so perplexed by "how do they DO that" that I missed half of what was going on!!! It's mind-boggling really, especially for the simple-minded like me!!!:goodvibes

our DD, who is a big Little mermaid fan, asked Crush if he has ever met Flounder. Crush said "Yes, I met him.....long pause while smacking lips sound................once" and then burped. The kids didn't get it but the parents sure did!

How cute!

Well...my son still walks around saying, "Dude" all the time! :rotfl: My daughter was too scared to go to Nemo - I know, pretty wierd - so she and I missed out on Crush. :headache: That is one thing I REALLY want to do on our next trip!!

Last time I went, Crush came out with a bikini top. He told the kids to raise their hands if they knew what it was, and ended up asking maybe a 5 year old boy. The boy screamed...

"IT'S A BRAAAAAAA!"

:lmao: :cool1: :rotfl2: :rotfl:  The adults were laughing so hard!

DS, a huuuuuuge Nemo fan was a little apprehensive on the ride. He loved Turtle Talk, though. His first dark ride was Snow White, and I think the witch scarred (and scared) him for life. Oops. Hopefully he'll be ok this time. That was in May, and we've been talking about how she's just pretend (but, of course, Mickey is not!!!).

:rotfl: Rarely do I actually laugh out loud at stuff on the computer, but that one got me!

We just got back from our first WDW trip Oct 14. My 3 1/2 year old was sitting right up front with her big sister (5 1/2) and they asked my little one if she had a question for Crush. She asked if turtles could swim. He said something about some turtles could but land turtles had feet instead of flippers. They didn't ask for her parents. She was thrilled.

We also went to store time with Belle at Magic Kingdom and they picked my 5 1/2 year old to go up on stage. She got to play Mrs. Potts. DH still refers to her as Mrs. Potts.

My 9 yr old son got called on and Crush asked who he came with and for some strange reason my son replied "I don't know" and of course the entire audience laughed and then the microphone was brought to me and my DH and we were laughing so much we could barely talk.

It's so funny that this thread came up!
We had to do Turtle talk 3 times on our last trip. My DD was determined to talk to Crush- he is her favorite character.
My DD5 asked Crush- "Where do baby turtles come from?" It was so funny- Crush's mouth dropped open and he said "....uh, where is your mother?" It was hilarious- everyone was laughing. The assistant brought me the mic and Crush said- "We need to talk" It was great!
I think that is such a cute show.

You can go to Crush w/o having to go thru the ride. You can go right in through the gift shop at the end. (CM told us this.)

our funniest moment wasn't a kid, it was my mom's cell phone. She heard it vibrating in her bag and was frantically digging for it before it started ringing.
Needless to say, she didn't make it. Crush stopped talking and goes "Dude, is that your shell phone? Tell whoever it is you can't talk, you're talking with a turtle." :)

When we went in I was only 70% sure about sending DS5 down to the front as he has high functioning autism and can be a bit errrm... quirky LOL but he went and sat down there with his sisters age 10 and 4, when Crush asked for the little dude with the red shell I knew he meant my son!

He asked what his name was and when he told him his name is Jude Crush replied "Dude, your name is Dude? Righteous" To which DS shouted "No, Jeeewwwww-DDDD" and Crush called him Jammin' Jude-Dude,

He asked if he had a question as DS replied "I'm a great swimmer" (no question- just entirely immodest statement  ) Crush then asked how did he learn and DS says "I took lessons, I'm really good"

DH, myself and my parents could hardly breathe for laughing- DS5 can't swim at all, it's actually on his education plan as a point to address (has dyspraxia as well as HF autism and a few other issues)

I have to say Crush was one of the moments my DS5 entirely got some sparkle on our trip- he tells everyone about it and believes 110% Crush was real and talking right at him, it was beyond perfect that they chose him, he's a fabulous little fellow who has quite a hard time with day to day life trying to fit with the mainstream and Disney was the best place on earth for him.

In January, we took my DS for his 4th birthday. The first time we went to turtle talk, he didn't get called on and was so disappointed. Well, two days later, my mom and I went shopping at DD and DH and DS went to epcot for the evening. I so wish I had been there b/c I guess my DS asked Crush when his birthday was and when Crush told him and then said, why..when's yours? DS said "right now." DH said it was the cutest thing ever.

We were there a few weeks ago, and Crush asked a little boy if he knew what this was.... well it's red w/ white polka dots & hanging around his neck........so the boy says "it's a bow-tie" . Everyone was hysterical. DH & I still laugh about it.
If they had asked my DS3, he would have called it a "b**bie package". Kinda glad crush didnt ask him!

Well DD had her hair in pony tails so he first addressed her as the little girl with the SEA HORSE PONY TAILS...that cracked her up. She asked " How many fish are in the ocean" (lots of fish swimming around at the time of the question) as he turns around they all disappear away and he turns back to say" NONE"..:rotfl:
