Turtle Farm Cayman

Now that Disney is doing away with the turtle farm excursion, looking to do this on my own. Anyone who has some experience, I would love to get your advice. Thanks.

We hopped on the bus for $2pp first thing and were the first people there when it opened. We left as all the tour groups were arriving.

We then wanted to go to 7 mile beach and one of the buses who had dropped off a tour group took us-another $2.

The bus system is very easy and very "you need a ride? Ok, I'll take you-$2"

how long was the ride from port to turtle farm? thanks.,

I've been to Grand Cayman 3 times & done just about every activity there is. I assure you, the turtle farm & going to hell are the least impressive things you can do on Cayman. I'd take a boat to stingray city, then to Rum Point & relax at the beach there, then go back to the ship. I'm sure this is still an excursion? Two of my trips there were on a cruise (PCL, then DCL) & my first trip to Cayman was a direct trip there for 2 weeks, so on that trip I got to spend time everywhere in Cayman. Rum Point is my absolute favorite.

thank you so much for the quick response! i looked into booking directly as well, but the time offered had us back at the ship too late, so wanted to see options for going there ourselves..

Yes, we booked directly, on our own, through the company, not disney :)
